Ten minutes ago !!

Due to the imminent arrival of Baby Pana,

I have been ordered to remove all cable modems,
cable tv and associated boxes from our old
AV room (which will now be nursery)
and relocate them to another room...

So anyways, here I am running some trusty old quad shielded
coax from room A to Room B, on the roof lifting tiles, grabbing
cables blindly etc etc ... Anyhoo, room B happens to have
the 4 main power line junction that comes into our home.
(We have 3 phase power)... So this junction is about 2 feet
behind my back. The wires run across from this junction up
to a power pole across the street.

Wifey is freakin out at me even being on roof..
Anyhoo. Im yanking this old coax cable out
from under some tiles when I hear this foooken
huge bang right behind me, accompanied by a flash
of light...

Panamary starts screaming in the house, I nearly
shit myself... But I was perfectly ok.
(She thought I had fallen off roof)

So I look around, and there it is, car
across the street young driver, head on into
the power pole, which had caused our
lines to hit each other.. So what I heard
was both the electricity shorting and the
car slamming into the power pole.

The young dude was on his way to cricket
(bottle of beer on passenger seat I noticed)
car is totally fucked, but luckily he was ok...

Talked to the neighbour who has lived here
30 years and said there has never been
an accident in our street.. Fuck me, I nearly leaped
off the roof when I heard the bang/flash...

So I climbed down and are now enjoying a beer....

The good news is, the new cable link is in place ! lol....

The sound dynamics of a vehicle crash are like nothing else in this world. Scary. Glad you both are OK. Sorry about you having to be the handyman today as well.

Damn good thing you were only moving a cable line, and not the power line! Might have been fried and yanked off the roof.

Yeah Im perfectly ok guys, I think its funny too....
In fact I started yelling out Im ok Im ok, and
theres all these dudes in the street who didnt
realize where this voice was coming from,
frantically loooking everywhere for the source
of voice... Like a pack of mad ants !

hahahhaah... I can totally see the funny side...
Gave me a good excuse to grab a beer before
sunset !

(FORD - Yeah !! if was fucking with the power I
might not be posting this)
Im more a electronics dude by nature, but just know
enough to get myself into trouble with household
cabling... lol....

The nesting instinct of the pregnant vagina people can be a pain in the arse.

When the first Seshling was due I had to turn my office/drinking hole in the apartment into a nursery even though we had already bought a house.

So hundreds spent and lots of pointless work for the 3 weeks the baby was in the apartment and of course she was staying in our bedroom anyway.

No point in arguing though because women are all varying degrees of crazy nuts misery mental difficult.

Times 10 when about to eject a sprog.

I was genuinely a bit scared when I read recently that airlines have women pilots flying up to 30 weeks.

That is fucking crazy. I would rather take my chances with a hold full of snakes and a few fanatical Muslims with box cutters than rely on a 30 week pregnant woman to remember to lower the landing gear.

Cheers!

:gulp:

Maybe we can make this thread into bizzarre injuries and stuff..

Panamary just told me a classic after what happened....

Apparently they have a family friend who does everything,
builder, painter, jack of all trades..
Anyways, he would always tie a rope to his truck when
working on the roof (which was apparently a few stories
high),and the other end around himself
That way when / if he fell, he would dangle on the rope...

Anyway, apparently one day his wife (oblivious to the
fact he was working on the roof) yup, you guessed it,
jumped in his truck to do some shopping...
When he heard the truck start there was some
frantic untying of ropeage going down...
But no good !!!

She took off, dragged him across the roof, down
the driveway and half a mile up the road
before realizing he was dragging behind..
Broke most of his bones and gave him gravel
rash from hell... But the dude is still alive today !!!

So I guess using kwame k's theory we can laugh
a bit, as he survived !!! Can anyone beat this ???

Julia is the female form of Julius

Julia Caesaris (Classical Latin (http://www.rotharmy.com/wiki/Classical_Latin): IVLIA•CAESARIS) is the name of all women in the Julii Caesares (http://www.rotharmy.com/wiki/Julii_Caesares) patrician (http://www.rotharmy.com/wiki/Patrician) family (a subdivision of the Julii (http://www.rotharmy.com/wiki/Julius) family), since feminine names were their father's gens (http://www.rotharmy.com/wiki/Roman_naming_convention) and cognomen (http://www.rotharmy.com/wiki/Roman_naming_convention) declined in the female form. (Male members of the Julii Caesares include Julius Caesar (http://www.rotharmy.com/wiki/Julius_Caesar) and Caesar Augustus (http://www.rotharmy.com/wiki/Caesar_Augustus).) Several Juliae Caesares are cited by the ancient sources, notably the following:

... Due to the imminent arrival of Baby Pana....

Aaaawww...!!! :)
When is he/she due to arrive?
Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?

And don't make Panamary to nervous by trying to be an acrobat... You don't want her poping out the little treasure before it's due! ;)

*He* is due end of April :)

We both came from a Boy-Girl family (with the boy being the
older brother) we were hoping for the same,
so the plan is working so far.
As for Panamary she is in the feathering nest phase and
chains wouldnt hold her down at the moment !!

I know what you mean about the acrobatics, we
are 33 weeks in now, so its a little awkward to
even attempt that stuff :D. We have decided that
can wait for a little while. We just finished a 5 year
honeymoon, so its ok to recharge :)

Thanks for asking !
