of our relationship, I would fly her to Australia when she
had holidays, then she moved permanently. I've also
flown back the other way several times to be with
her family.

We clicked instantly when chatting at first, then it became
6-8 hour phonecalls each day, then we would write music
together via the net. We knew what each other looked like,
our backgrounds, everything. It got to the point where
we couldnt stand not to meet in person.. And its an
old cliche,(love at first sight)
but the moment she walked out of the
gate at the airport we embraced, and it felt like
we had been together forever. At that point it
was a done deal ! :D

Well... How cool and romantic is that!

This may sound weird but I find that couples that share the same tastes in music tend to get along very well... There is definitely a connection goin' on when you look in you loved one's eyes and "trip" as cranking up a good tune and going to a rock concert!

From everyone's posts it's obvious you agree that our little one is going to be surrounded by awesome music from early on. I'm already blaring the classics in my car as I drive hoping to expose baby Pana to the best even before he's born!

I have searched all over to find a crib/cot mobile that allows you to mute all the stupid crappy music they play so we can play our own music via the stereo system we've already installed in the baby room (typical, aye?). We've also got the acoustic permanently residing in baby's room, and the Marshall as well as our electric guitar collection not too far away.

Also, I have been poking around looking at good CD's for baby to sleep to on Amazon. I realize that baby cannot realistically fall asleep to the original rock songs just yet as they may be a bit overstimulating for inducing sleep (although we will be exposing him to the real thing when he's awake). Funny enough, I found a group of CD's called "Rockabye Baby". They are lullaby renditions of those classic bands...Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, ACDC, Metallica, etc. as well as some new bands like Green Day, Radiohead, etc. The music sounds like "music box" music rather than the real thing, but it really is quite cool for a newborn if you think about it when your trying to find soothing sleeping music but still rock. I wanted to buy all of them, but decided to get the Led Zeppelin, ACDC, and Beach Boys. As for the Beatles, I figure alot of that is soothing anyway so we can play the originals. I was so PISSED there wasn't a Van Halen option, but on their website they are hosting a community vote for what the next "Rockabye Baby" CD should be of which Van Halen is one of the options. Anyway...check out the tunes on Amazon... Mark and I have been cracking up trying to guess which songs are playing without looking.

Im kinda lost for words at the moment and cant hang
out for long as Im needed elsewhere...

yours. Im loving being a father !!! Bring it on, he will be home
in time for his first football game on TV ! In a few hours I
pick them up. Gotta figure out my sterilizer machine and
formulas and stuff now.. I would not have been ready for this
15 years ago, but now, I reckon Im ready to give this a good shot !
He calms down everytime I hold him, I reckon thats pretty ACE :D
