CHEER COACH FIRED FOR DOING LORD’S WORK

Carlie Christine was the cheerleader coach at Orangevale (CA) Casa Robles High School, but was then fired after school officials were informed that Christine had posed for Playboy and appeared on their site as Cyber Girl of the Week, a title which really sounds more apocalyptic than masturbatory, but that’s just me thinking out loud.

What apparently uncovered the coach was when some girls didn’t make the cheerleading squad because they had a few unexcused absences from school. Their parents then made copies of Christine and dropped the pictures on the principal’s desk.

Christine was then fired from her position at Casa Robles High School.

And obviously there was plenty of phony parental outrage to go around. And the “parents” in the story ASKED NOT TO BE IDENTIFIED, because inflicting your morals on other people is the only bravery that’s required in this world, I guess.

“The girls are supposed to look up their coaches,” says one concerned parent. “The whole football team has seen it.”

I may be in trouble then. I used to go to the Arcade to play on my lunch break. Even though I have avatars and sigs display settings turned off, they're still visible in Arcade. I empty the cache and delete my browser history and cookies once a week. What else should I do? Or should I just avoid the Arcade at work?

Avoiding the Arcade would be the safest choice. Running defrag on your hard drive would be the next step, because the files you have "deleted" are really still there until you have reclaimed the space. A good data recovery program would still be able to find the files at that point, but if they're using that then they are probably out to get you anyway.

Depending on how tight the restrictions are on your network, that is what limits your ability to do anything about it. For example, if they have you limited to just basic "user" access, and you can't install any software on the machine, then you wouldn't be able to install software that would do a better job at covering your tracks and erasing telltale files. These limits also keep you from knowing exactly what they're running on the server end to keep an eye on you. Keystroke monitoring, for example. Which could show, for example, repeated use of the keyboard controls used in an arcade game. Your IT staff probably wouldn't read those logs on a daily basis, because it would be a waste of time for them to do so, but if they were investigating you, then they could pull up these logs and say.... "well damn, it looks like Chan spends a lot of time on video games at something called a Roth Army".

HAMILTON, Ohio — A southwest Ohio teacher has resigned after acknowledging she accompanied four female students to a male strip club, a school spokesman said.

Butler Tech school district spokesman Bill Solazzo said 47-year-old Lori Epperson resigned Thursday. He said Epperson told Edgewood High School administrators that the students — all cheerleaders at the school north of Cincinnati in Trenton — asked her to take them to the bar in February.

Epperson told school officials in an e-mail that she got permission from the parents of the 17- and 18-year-olds to bring them to Club Masque in Dayton.

Epperson taught marketing at the school and previously served as a coach for the district's eighth-grade cheerleaders.

Apparently they "promised" her they wouldn't drink, and even had their hands marked indicating that they should not be served alcohol, but were anyway. Which I would think makes the club as legally responsible as the teacher.....

Teacher regrets class trip to gay bar

FAIRFIELD TWP. - The Butler Tech teacher who took four Edgewood High School cheerleaders to a gay strip bar regrets her actions, according to a written apology she sent to school officials.

Marketing teacher Lori Epperson resigned Thursday after being investigated by the career school for taking the girls in February to a Dayton gay bar featuring male dancers.

According to the April 10 letter - obtained by The Enquirer through an Ohio Public Records request - the 37-year-old Epperson apologized and explained what happened that night.

The girls, ages 18 and 17, "wanted to go to a gay establishment," Epperson wrote. "They continued to push the issue and I told them if they were that set on going I would prefer they go with me."

Epperson contended the girls' parents gave permission once she assured them there would be no drinking.

Once there, she wrote, the girls' hands were stamped marking them as underage. However, the girls went upstairs where they were able to get drinks.

"After about 15 minutes, I went to look for them. They had found someone that was a brother of someone they knew. He bought them shots and cosmopolitans - a very strong drink. I told them we're leaving because they disobeyed me by drinking," she recounted.

One of the girls was "found in the bathroom throwing up" and had to be carried by Epperson to the car. She wrote that she "drove them home, lecturing the whole way."

Bill Solazzo, spokesman for Butler Tech, said school officials learned about the incident earlier this month and placed Epperson on paid leave while it investigated.

Epperson joined Butler Tech's teaching staff last year after receiving a provisional teaching license. She also previously served as a coach for the Edgewood Schools' eighth-grade cheerleaders.

Edgewood officials refused to comment on whether the students face disciplinary action.

Butler Tech's school board is scheduled to vote April 21 whether to accept Epperson's resignation.

"I apologize for not telling you the truth from the beginning," Epperson wrote. "I accept the consequences and believe I should not be in the environment where I make a negative impression on kids. I made a very bad decision that I have regretted ever since."

It seems it became a school issue because the high school has one of those zero tolerance policies with regard to alcohol, which lead to the girls being rejected from some sort of competition on that basis.

FAIRFIELD TWP. — Butler Tech administrators released the personnel file Friday afternoon, April 17, of a teacher who resigned Thursday afternoon after admitting to taking four Edgewood High School cheerleaders, including her daughter, to a gay bar in Dayton where the girls consumed alcohol.

The file for Lori Epperson, 37, a first-year marketing teacher assigned to Edgewood High School, was heavily redacted by attorneys for Butler Technology and Career Development Schools.

Epperson, of Trenton, previously worked at Procter & Gamble and an Aveda salon before beginning her teaching career.

Classroom evaluations were favorable, according to the personnel file. Bill Solazzo, Butler Tech spokesman, said Thursday that Epperson received good marks in her teaching abilities.

But in her own words, Epperson said she made a “very bad decision” when she took the students, three age 18 and one 17, to Club Masque on Jefferson Street in February. The nightclub’s Web site states patrons must be 18 to enter and 21 to consume alcohol.

Epperson apologized in an April 10 e-mail, admitting to accompanying the students to the bar, where someone the students knew apparently bought them alcohol, which Epperson said she observed later.

“I understand that I put the (students) in a situation where they were subject to make a bad choice and I was extremely wrong. I acted out the part of a friend when I needed to be a mom,” Epperson said in the e-mail.

Epperson did not return calls seeking comment.

The incident came to light last week after the students were barred from participating in a competition due to Edgewood’s zero tolerance policy about alcohol consumption, Solazzo said. Epperson was put on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation, he said.

John Thomas, Edgewood spokesman, said the district does not comment on disciplinary actions involving students.

The Butler Tech board will review Epperson’s resignation at its Tuesday, April 21, meeting.

Recently, a nude photograph of Victoria Schattauer and a 15-year old freshman posing together was taken and posted on the internet. When Goshen High School found out about it, they called the police and suspended the assistant cheerleading coach and the assistant football coach, Andrew Emerson who hosted the party at his home.
Victoria Schattauer is, according to information she posted on her myspace page, soon to become Victoria Ann McMahon. She lives in Goshen, Ohio is 19 and her sexual orientation is straight. Her mood on November 3, 2007 was blah. Andrew Emerson lives in Blanchester, Ohio and is also 19. He says in his myspace profile that he loves to party hard, meet girls and have a good time. Clicking anywhere on his myspace profile page will take you to a porn site.
It appears that Victoria Schattauer was holding the camera while taking the photograph. According to WLWT in Cincinnati, Ohio, "the school says Schattauer took the partially nude picture with the freshman." The picture shows Victoria Schattauer posing topless with a 15-year old freshman that was also topless. According to Fox 19 News, Andrew Emerson hosted the party at his home on West Fancy Street in Blanchester on October 20.
Until they were both fired, Victoria Schauttauer was an assistant cheerleading coach and Andrew Emerson was an assistant football coach. The school, for allegedly providing alcohol to a freshman, fired Victoria Schattauer and fired Andrew Emerson for hosting the party. The freshman that posed in the picture could have disciplinary actions taking against her by Goshen High School.
In November of 2005, two Carolina Panthers cheerleaders, Renee Thomas and Angela Keathley were arrested for having sex in a bathroom stall in a bar in Tampa, Florida. Renee Thomas was also charged with giving the police a false name and battery after she hit another lady at the bar when she came out of the bathroom. The cheerleaders had signed a code of conducted which they both violated when they decided to embarrass themselves and their team by acting so immaturely. They were both kicked off the cheerleading squad.
The Associated Press recently published an article stating that teacher misconduct has historically been ignored. Based on these facts, it may be likely that Victoria Schattauer and Andrew Emerson could even move to a different school district and continue teaching. As for charges being filed against them, Fox 19 News stated that the Blanchester Police would not file charges until they know all the details of the case, which they are hoping to have their investigation completed Thursday.
