Not really funky, yet a classic track nonetheless. Eddie Hazel's playing is inspired throughout. Fairly mindblowing for 1971, this was the inspiration for Cheech and Chong's "Basketball Jones".

When it comes to funk, probably the last thing you'd consider is a long haired white guy from Canada. Travers' syncopated riffs and funk structures kept his early works from sounding like pedestrian, run of the mill arena rock.
