Wasn't that a great imitation? I remember watching that when it first was broadcast and the reaction of the crowd after the first verse when they realized how good he was.

The best one is when Joe Cocker appears on SNL, Belushi was even wearing the same shirt as Cocker. That was both the funniest guest skit and the most uncomfortable thing to watch.

At the end of one SNL episode, the camera showed a piano and some hands upon the keyboard. The song being played was Georgia on My Mind by Ray Charles. The tune played for a few moments, and only after the camera panned back did anyone (at home or even in the studio) realize that it was not Ray, yet John Belushi singing.

You know for years I thought that I imagined that (episode) when they were both on with the same shirts none the less, and years later I saw it in reruns (musta seen it when I was fucked up or something) I agree, Joe was quite the good sport with that.

There was a documentary that mentioned that Belushi had either asked Joe or found out what he was going to wear that night just so he could wear the same clothes.

On the flip side for years we used to ride every year to Marthas Vineyard to a big party in West Tisbury. Belushi is buried just down the road and I always meant to stop at the graveyard to visit the plot. Never did make though....
