That made no sense to me either. She responded to a question asked of her. How is that "opportunistic". If anything is, it's Perez forcing the question in the first place.

I watched Olbermann when he brought this up and I tried to figure out why I would care... other than she decided she didn't like gay marriage. Who cares if she got new boobs and it was paid for?

It is a Appearance Pageant. Yea, it takes a lot of work to preen, be it biker (hey tats are not easy) to Dolly Pardon to muscle bound Arnold to Lady Di to the pois look of the religious fundies. Preening is an effort.

She misspoke when she said her family would not be comfortable in a same sex union contract. She should have stated SHE would not be comfortable in a same sex union contract. Because she is not acquainted with what God holds for future family members.

However, as for appearance, she did well enough. She did fumble upon presenting an appearance of her beliefs that would be fondly accepted by the judges and media.

Possibly, her nonstop false presentations moved her Conscience to impede her deceptiveness.
