KISS Ace Frehley hates Vinnie Vincent

Just thought this was funny. Ace signed this guys tour book and crossed out Vinnie Vincent's face, not once, but twice. :biggrin:

I would have to say that Ace could have made sure no one replaced him by keeping his act together. It is not Vinnie's fault that Ace flamed out. I thought Vinnie did a good job with Kiss but liked Vinnie's solo stuff better. There could be some personal issues that happened that i am just not aware of. Of course, Ace could have just been joking around as well. I don't see him as a spiteful kind of guy.

It's pretty funny. Vinnie has a bit of an ego, who knows what happened as their paths crossed. yeah, Ace left the band, but at the time it wasn't much of a band to leave.

Vincent was quite a good player...miles above Ace in terms of ability. Probably not a coincidence that the post-Love Gun stuff from the band I enjoyed the most were the tunes Vincent either wrote or co-wrote.

There is no doubt Ace Frehley is and will always be considered the definitive guitar player in Kiss. I am a huge fan of Ace both in Kiss and solo. However, I think Vinnie Vincent Invasion was better than Frehley's Comet. At least VVI had 2 solid records where FC only had one (the first). Second Sighting was a big letdown. As far as the technical aspect, i don't know enough about guitar playing to say who is better. I'll leave that to the guitarists that post here.
Regarding Ace not liking Vinnie, i read where Frehley's Comet did a demo that didn't make it on an album of a song VV wrote called Back in the Streets. One would think that if there was such a hate relationship there, it wouldn't have even been a consideration.
