I saw him live in Denmark five years ago. Good concert. Despite his poppy Wings-background, I think he rocks more than Eric Clapton these days.

wow. that was one of the worst interviews I've seen in a long time. Dave was getting awfully close to Farley territory on that one.

going to see him in August at Piedmont Park here in ATL. this will be my 4th Paul show.

he's still great. what an epic catalog to pull from. plays a good 2.5 hrs, still high energy (at least as of '05)

I suppose it's natural that he chose "Get Back" for the marquee performance (which is almost like playing on the roof)

Too bad there's not an actual video of the Helter Skelter performance. That one wasn't aired live.

It wasn't ??

They still may have shot it...if it comes up, i'll post it...

Looks like Letterman is streaming the entire performance over at the CBS website...

It's really odd that his only Canadian show is in Halifax on this tour. Wonder how that came about? Usually, it's Toronto or Vancouver. He still has it though even after all these years.

Well, arguably the fans in Vancouver could drive to Seattle for a show, and the Toronto fans could go to Buffalo, or Cleveland, or Detroit.

Halifax is a little more remote, by comparison. Not really within decent driving distance from any US venues.

pretty sure McCartney hasn't played here since the early 90's.

Watching those performances... timeless falls short of describing those tunes.

July of 1990 at the Stadium. Flowers in the Dirt tour.

I turned 18 on the drive home after the show.

I'll never forget the thousands of lighters during Let it Be, as Dave would say, "like we were looking out the window of the SS Enterprise"

He's supposedly doing a show in Piedmont Park in August. Oddly enough, that's like the freaking gayest part of Atlanta. No shit...they did stories on the news about the talking bushes there. Get ready for a celebration with a bunch of fucking queers lurking for drunk Beatles' & Paul Mc whateverthefuck fans!!!

Yeah, but it was the last decent Wings album though. Didn't care at all for the disco-era Wings. (after Jimmy McCullough and Joe English left the band)

What do you think of this new stuff Paul released recently? This "Fireman" project, or whatever it's called.

Not sure why he used an alias to make the album? Maybe he didn't think anybody would buy an album by a guy in his mid 60's... Except he appeared in the videos, so if you didn't know it was him by the music alone, that pretty much settled it.

I dig the Fireman stuff...

Especially the heavier material...

Mc is still my fave songwriter of them all. I listen to Beatles solo more than Beatles and if I take a few songs from his albums I can make a great comp album. He's always had his projects for more experimental stuff and I'm glad to see that hasn't died with him becoming even more of a legend, he was alway the most "avante garde" of them. His classical music is lame and he doesn't credit the main people behind it properly.
