Real Feel 101? Nah, I don't think so! Fucking humidity is a lot higher here than wherever this is being measured at (probably the Olympia Airport) Closer to the water here, and feeling like a sweat lodge!

Sounds like this call center I used to work in back in the 90's. It was in modular buildings (think oversized mobile homes or walk in ovens) The building had AC, technically, but it was AC rated at capacity from the mid 60's.... before there was such a thing as a computer terminal at every workstation. So it was basically like not having AC at all. Worst yet, the assholes enforced their dress code under these conditions, so you couldn't even dress accordingly for the temperature.

Only good thing was that the server room also overheated, which took the network down several times a day, some times for an hour at a time, and you got to go outside in the sun where it was actually a little cooler.

About 4 hours south we do..
Sydney is sort of inbetween the tropics and the
colder climates of the southern states
(which are closer to Antartica)
So we get a mild winter with blue sunny skies..
At the moment around 68-70 degrees farenheit in
the day ?? My wife thinks thats too warm for winter,
me........ My nads are attempting to re-enter
the nad sockets to get some warmth......

But yes, we have snow mountains and Skiing is
a big thing in the Snowy Mountains during winter
(Thats what they are called !! Snowy Mountains,
I wonder how long it took the naming dude to think that
one up ??)

I don't think old Liz even wants her Alfred E. Neuman looking son Chuckie to be the King. And considering how much she hated Diana, she's probably not too happy about Prince Billy taking over either. Let alone the other kid, who probably wasn't Chuckie's in the first place.

Liz will probably write it into her will to disband the whole "monarchy in name only" upon her death just to spite them all.

Though I really think he went there for the surfing, seeing as he spent most of his teenage years in California. http://www.cosgan.de/images/smilie/sportlich/f035.gif

That's the main reason that I have NOT yet visited the South!

Actually, one of my uncles lived in Waco Texas for a while. Made the mistake of going there in the middle of the summer. The humidity there was so thick that you would take a shower, and then need to take another one 5 minutes later.

Being raised in Arizona, he didn't care much for that himself. Wasn't long after that he moved to Denver, then eventually back to Mesa.

Surfing is part of our culture, very similar to the US. Im not familiar with
how close the surf beaches are in LA in proximity to the city, but you
have some really nice quality beaches just minutes from Sydney.
I could understand how a surfin dude would enjoy australia.
I never really got into it, when my friends did I tended to get more into

The British royal family are an irrelevant nothing.

The main reason I want rid of them is they give a perception internationally that they matter. The majority of people in the UK want them so I bow to democratic will and it doesn't cost that much but if it was up to me I would kickk them out in a heartbeat.

Another thing, the homes & apartments near the ocean in San Diego usually don't have air conditioning. Not even the big nice homes in La Jolla. Some do, but usually not. It's never needed being right near the water. But in August once in a while we get a heat wave...then it gets miserable.

Get the union jack out of your flag. They might finally get the hint. It worked for US!;)

Totally agree, in fact I cant recall a single person saying that it should
stay. The only argument that made any sense was from my late Gradfather,
(who fought in WWII) he said, it sucked having the union Jack as part
of the flag, but it was still "OUR" flag, and hundreds of thousands
of Aussies fought and died holding that version of the flag...

In the early days of colonization there was a cool uprising in
the goldfields of Ballarat in Victoria. It was called the "Eureka Stockade"
basically the australians of the era rising up against the british soldiers/cops
and government. They united under this really cool flag.
And they kicked their asses !!!! I would love to see that flag as
our national flag, or replace the union jack with a kangaroo symbol even..

Cool story about the Eureka Stockade fight, whilst the two sides were
standing off before the big fight, it was started by one dude (from the
civilian camp) picking up a big rock off the ground and hitting one of
the British soldiers right in the face !! (That was the catalyst, shit went
down after that)

But anyhoo, (I love this !!) that man was a doctor who delivered my
Great Granmother into this world. So I have a linky with that uprising..
