'Ryan O'Neal Says He Hit On His Own Daughter At Farrah Fawcett's Funeral'

Even Ryan O'Neal described it as "sick."

The actor, and father-of-four, told Vanity Fair that he is so disconnected from his own children that he flirted with daughter, Tatum, at Farrah Fawcett's funeral, without realizing she was his first born according to transcripts of the interview published Monday in the New York Post.

"I had just put the casket in the hearse and was watching it drive away, when a beautiful blond woman comes up and embraces me," O'Neal, 68, said. “I said to her, 'You have a drink on you? You have a car?' She said, 'Daddy, it's me -- Tatum!'"

"That's our relationship in a nutshell," Tatum told the magazine when asked about the bizarre exchange. "You make of it what you will.”

Said Ryan: "I was just trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it's my daughter -- it's so sick."

Asked if he's sorry he had children, O'Neal nodded and said, "A couple of them I would take back.

"I don't think I was supposed to be a father," said the actor, who had Tatum, 45, and Griffin, 44, with first wife Joanna Moore; son Patrick, 42, with actress Leigh Taylor-Young; and son Redmond, 24, with Fawcett.

"Just look around at my work -- they're either in jail or they should be," O'Neal said.

He said Redmond, who is in jail for violating probation on drug charges, is the only child he still sees.

August 04, 2009, (Sawf News) - Ryan O'Neal's son Griffin has sensationally claimed that the Hollywood legend destroyed his life by giving him cocaine when he was just 11 years old.

Griffin O'Neal - whose relationship with Ryan is so bad he was kicked out of Farrah Fawcett's funeral - insists the actor "partied" with his kids, leaving them all with addictions that destroyed their lives.

Griffin made the bombshell drug claims in a US TV interview in which he also insisted his father was angry when lover Farrah was diagnosed with cancer as it took the attention away from his own cancer battle.

He also said his father lived in completely separate parts of "a very large house" from Farrah, was caught with another woman when Farrah walked in on them, lied about asking Farrah to marry him on her deathbed in a bid to get her money and tried to shoot Griffin in the face and then hitting his wife in the face with a fireplace poker on the day he was arrested for a domestic fight.

Before Griffin's explosive interview with Larry King, Ryan's attorney Arnold Robinson gave a statement insisting Griffin had no way of knowing what went on between his father and late Charlie's Angels star Farrah.

"Griffin has not had a relationship with Farrah or Ryan for many years," the statement read. "Therefore, there is no way he would have any knowledge of what was going on in their lives."

But Griffin insisted that Ryan's recent interviews about Farrah, both before and after her death on June 25, were all a lie.

"When I saw the Barbara Walters interview, I was screaming at the TV, going is it only me that sees this? This was absolute BS. I was turning inside out," he said.

"I remember when she was diagnosed with cancer and my dad got upset and he goes, 'No, I'm dying. You're not dying, I'm dying'. [He was angry] because the attention was diverted to Farrah. He didn't like that. Absolute complete narcissist in every way."
