The “original” falsetto king El DeBarge is serving time behind bars following an encounter
with police in Los Angeles. According to reports, the former DeBarge frontman was
charged with possession of a controlled substance, after he was arrested on Monday
the 27th of this month. The incident marks another setback for DeBarge,
born Patrick Eldra DeBarge, who was arrested and jailed earlier this month after two
warrants for his arrest were discovered by authorities.
The singer was charged with several offenses last year,
including vandalism, drugs and domestic violence.
El Debarge has been smoking rocks since the early 80’s while pimping and slappin ho’s.
The 47yr old still hangs out in Compton hoods performing with DJ Quick,
and we knew this was imminent.
This explains one of his greatest songs, I Like It.
