Serena Williams was two points from losing her semifinal match to Kim Cliijsters...

The line-judge called a footfault on her serve for the first point...

and then Serena offered the judge a few suggestions on where to put her racket for the second point...and loss...

I wonder if she was offering to teach the judge a thing or two about her religion? A flier perhaps?

It was one of the oddest things to witness since Mcenroe was playing. Williams physically threatened the line judge, not once but twice, shaking her racket at the woman. Then she claims to never have threatened the woman, taunting her by saying "Are you scared?" She then throws down her racket, congratulates Clijsters, packs up her stuff and walks off the court, all amongst a chorus of boos. Unreal.

They get paid the same amount as the men to play often less than half as long the men. Usually there are a couple of them who win every match 6-1 6-1 and often are playing against 15 and 16 year old children. The best woman player in the world couldn't get in the top 500 in the world.

It's blatant sexism to have a separate woman's circuit.
