I guess them serving it in a fucking bucket should be a warning. :)

We vowed we would never let our kids eat in these places but nowadays taking them to Burger King and giving them a burger with apple fries and a fruit juice every so often seems like decent parenting.

But I wouldn't touch KFC even if I was hungry and drunk.

Look at the co-anchor's face! Something's up with these veteran NYC news anchors cursing on the air. Not too long ago, Sue Simmons from NBC Channel 4 said the F word off camera. Supposedly, she didn't know her mic was still on.

Yeah. She thought they had cut to commercial. But this guy here...no excuse. He knew they were on air. Apparently his response was he meant to say "Keep plucking that chicken". Maybe. But I've never heard either phrase.

It's not based on Popeye the sailor. The food they serve would be sorta like KFC -but with a Cajun flavor, and food that is approximately 700 time better...

Ah, ok thanks for the info. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it WAS the sailor man's fast food joint.

The problem with KFC nowadays is that the way they grow the chickens, they have no taste at all & are 70% fat.

And that's not likely to change anytime soon.

In your neck of the woods, perhaps. But trust me, any chain restaurant below the Mason-Dixon line in this country is second only to cafeteria food. The farther south on the turnpike, the worse it gets. http://freesmileyface.net/smiley/Disgusting/toilet-5.gif (http://freesmileyface.net/Free-Disgusting-Smileys.html)http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/smileys/free-sick-smileys-1050.gif (http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/Free-Sad-Smileys/)

From the size of their new grilled "chicken", I would swear that they were slaughtering hummingbirds and trying to pass them off as chicken! Have you seen how small those pieces of chicken are?

Have I? My friend, I can eat a whole chicken, and still have room for dessert.

I can't eat HALF a KFC chicken.

That's just it. They overgrow them, and they do it too fast. No flavour at all & too much fat. If it wasn't for the skin, where the herbs & spices are, it'd be less tasty than a piece of cardboard. Problem is, there's more fat under the skin of a KFC chicken than under a duck's.

It's just too much. I may go there only once, maybe twice a year. I'd be there almost everyday if it was proper, regular chicken. But this method is cheaper for them.

That's their FRIED chicken...it's regular size. But their GRILLED chicken...it's extremely small, like they're using some kind of small bird to make it with. KFC may have found a solution to the nation's pigeon problem!

I don't know if you guys have the KFC grilled chicken across the pond?

Anonymous
09-19-2009, 04:01 PM
Ah, I guess not. At least, we didn't the last time I checked. So yeah, I got a bit confused there. Didn't see that you were talking about GRILLED chicken.

I may go there tomorrow, and check it out.

But if they ARE that small, they MUST be pigeons.

I mean, if KFC overgrow their chickens at an insane rate for purposes of profit instead of quality, why would they have mini-chickens now? It makes no sense. Are they even any good? Tasty?

We DO have a recipe for really small chicken here in Portugal, with a really good sauce, but I don't think there's any relation.

Cheers! :bottle:

KFC in Australia is really crappy. I would chose just about any other fast food
over KFC. I've tried KFC in the US and compared to Australias offering, its
actually a lot better ! However I've also tried some traditional southern
fried chicken in Mississippi, and that made me realize what fried chicken
is meant to be !! I would be such a fat ass if I lived in the US permanently ! lol....

You should know by now that the only way a thread will stay on topic here at the Army is if noone responds to it.

Otherwise, a thread started about the right way to bring up your children will more than certainly turn into a sexy mommas thread. Or maybe the best way to grow your vegetables without chemicals.

I was the same but then discovered the insane amount of salt they put in those.

Sandwiches that serve up as much salt as 18 packets of crisps | Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1038752/Sandwiches-serve-salt-18-packets-crisps.html)

Subway's six inch Meatball Marinara contains 4.7g of salt - the equivalent of 11.75 packs of ready salted crisps(chips).

But its 12inch version contains a staggering 7.2g of salt - as much as is found in 18 packs of salted crisps and 20 per cent more than an adult should eat in an entire day.

Read more: Sandwiches that serve up as much salt as 18 packets of crisps | Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1038752/Sandwiches-serve-salt-18-packets-crisps.html#ixzz0Rg7t55IH)

It's annoying but with the all the bad publicity they got about it hopefully they will sort it out.

Well, this may be jumping to conclusions,. but I'd say with exercise & proper nutrition, sponsored by Subway to cash in on the final result & publicity, but having nothing else to do with it.

Just a thought, though.

You have to consider the mess this Jared guy was before the diet. He was obese, ate junk food and rarely if ever exercised. He also had edema, a weird ballooning of the skin due to fluids beneath it. On top of this, his caloric intake was around 10,000 calories per day.

To change this, he cut his diet drastically (for him), eating only lunch and dinner at Subway. And he started walking like a man possessed. The result? He lost over 90 pounds in roughly 3 months. But that is misleading as hell, once you consider the gross gluttony of his former lifestyle, any type of change would bring results.

A college roommate wrote an article in the school paper about his weight loss, which was picked up by a fitness magazine. Some suit at Subway read about it, and against the company's wishes produced the commercial. The rest is history.

But without the drastic modifications in the guy's behavior, the Subway diet (or any other one, for that matter) would never have worked. And that is the inherent flaw in it, as people fail to research it and assume that instead of eating Super-sized meals at McDonald's or Burger King, they can eat the same amount of food at Subway and lose weight.

Ain't gonna happen, folks. http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/smileys/free-party-smileys-786.gif (http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/Free-Baby-Smileys/)

10,000???

Fuck!

OF COURSE he's gonna lose weight, no matter what!

In fact, he'd lose weight even if he ate four double cheeseburgers with bacon and 2 sides of either large fries or onion rings at Burger King, which totals about 2,000 calories per day, or the amount recommended for a female adult. Yeah I know that bit, 'cuz I used to eat at BK once in a while back when I had time to exercise like a motherfucker. 1,000 calories per meal. Grate stuff. Can't do it now, though.

Cheers! :bottle:
