I wish reality tv would just die already!

Anybody else as sick as I am of all this reality shit that passes as tv these days? Good God! Amazing Race, Survivor, Big Brother, Dancing With The Stars...these shows all suck major ass! I figured back around 2000 or so that reality shows were a passing fad and they would be gone soon enough. But here we are nearly 10 years later, tv is saturated with these stupid reality shows, and they keep coming out with more all the time. CBS is the only network I will watch now because it has the most scripted shows of all the networks, and they are all quality tv shows. I miss the days back when there were tv shows like Magnum P.I., Dukes Of Hazzard, MacGyver, Airwolf, A-Team...etc. Where is that kind of tv programming these days? Quality tv has been replaced for the most part by these garbage reality shows. Thank goodness for TV Land!

I've never watched any episode of any reality TV show, with the exception of the 1st series of Survivor, and that was only because of Rudy, the retired Master Chief who lives here....

But the real reality shows are on the Discovery Channel... Dirty Jobs, Deadliest Catch, etc... That's some of the best TV IMO. Especially since the idiots at HBO killed off the Soporanos, Deadwood and Rome!!

That's really the essence of it. Simple economics. Less money spent on star salaries.

All of those shows suck balls. Just as scripted as a sitcom. Sadly, there are no shortage of talentless people out there who will continue to queue up to humilate themselves for their 15 minutes of infamy, so the cycle will keep on going.
