No, but I don't ever recall seeing Keith Moon take a sledge hammer to his kit !

But he did use dynamite on that Smothers Brothers appearance in the mid-sixties. He also filled his floor tom with water and goldfish on an episode of some live show in the seventies (perhaps ABC's In Concert). I remember when this first aired, and the site of the dead fish at the end of the solo greatly turned off the audience in the studio, as well as those viewing at home. Here is a highly edited clip of the performance.

Who the hell asked you?

Of course it was Kirshner's show. He ran that one 'till the mid 70's.
Dick Clark took it over when Kirshner left the show to Produce Don Kirshner's "Rock Concert".

Did you have cable in your trailer park back then, or did the rabbit ears on the old b&w do the trick?

And in the process blew Townshend's eardrums the first time, too! :umm:

Does it get cold enough and stay cold long enough in Ohio to do something like that? This is kinda "Fun with Glaciers" stuff.
