Seven-Layer Windows 7 Whopper at Burger King in Japan
Posted by Robyn Lee, October 22, 2009 at 12:15 PM
The natural way to celebrate the launch of your latest OS is to give the world a giant burger. In conjunction with the release of Windows 7, Burger King in Japan is offering a seven-layer Whopper until October 28. The burger is 13 centimeters (5.1 inches) in diameter and each patty weighs 113 grams for a total of 791 grams, or about one and 3/4 pounds. The tower of meat cost „777 ($8.50) for the first 30 burgers sold, „1450 ($15.90) afterward.

Hacking the Windows 7 Whopper (or Make a 'Windows 7 Cheeseburger Student Edition')
If you're not in Japan to attempt to eat the Windows 7 Whopper at Burger King, Eating The Road has you covered with their humorous guide to hacking and unlocking the burger. First, they point out what's wrong with the burger:
* It is region locked and only available in Japan
* It has an Enterprise price point of $17 („1,450)
* Has limited functionality (no cheese)
Solution: Get four double cheeseburgers from Burger King (only $1 each with their current promotion), do a bit of patty and bun rearranging, and voilą: a sort of Windows 7 Burger! (The hacking is more about the process than the final product.)

Put 7 slices of cheese on Godzilla there and I'll take one.
Then again, this giant burger may be being used to distract us as they bomb Pearl Harbor again. ~Sneaky Devils~
I've been waiting for the bad Win7 reports to come in before I determine what processor I need for the new laptop.

You'd have to have the jaws of a snake (able to dislocate) in order to fit that thing in your mouth to take a bite!
I'm having a massive coronary just looking at that picture!

You would need one of those dislocating jaws like a boa constrictor !
And the local cardiac unit's emergency number preprogrammed
on speedial on your cell phone !
Fuck, Imagine if they celebrated Windows 98 ????
Wonder if that "Man vs Food" guy from the Travel channel has heard about this thing?
Probably wouldn't be much of a challenge for him after the 6 pound burrito or the 72 ounce steak.

I wonder if Microsoft gave any thought to the notion that a whopper is slang for a giant lie? :duh:

I was thinking the EXACT SAME THING.
About the cheese, that is.
The only thing lacking in that beauty is a slice of cheese between each meat.
I'm drooling... I hope they make a couple of those down here.
Cheers! :bottle:
