I just recently turned my wife on to Hendrix's music. It's been great revisiting all those albums and bootlegs. Dolly Dagger, Bold As Love, Third Stone, Them Changes... Great songs! He was always so laid back in interviews. That all came out in his playing too.

I sat in a bass class with Jack Casady who played bass on Voodoo Child on the Electric Ladyland album. He was good friends with Mitch Mitchell. He told us some stories about Jimi who he said was an excellent musician and knew a lot about music theory (most people don't know that). He said working with Jimi was going in and doing your job and just playing and improvising like a jazz band. He said it was a lot of fun playing with Mitch and Jimi because you never knew what they were going to throw in.

Hendrix is still the best ever !! And the most interesting dude too walk planet earth !! His family should be shot for releasing that new Gibson guitar with his name on it !! FUCKING SHOT DEAD !!! They have done a good job with his album's at least.
