Watching Elf didn't help. Can't stand being in the mall, it's giving me fits. Going to go gather up some pine cuttings and try to make swags and roping. Taking Nelson with me. Maybe that will help.

I agree with you shoes...I have only bought a few gifts so far, have not done any decorating or anything.

I put on some Brian Setzer Christmas music which always gets me in the mood and it didnt....

maybe I need a few more snow days (ugh)

I'm going to buy some eggnog today and see if that helps. If not, I'll just drink the rum straight! :hee:

I took my mom to a wreath making workshop. It was pretty cool and helped with the feel of the season. I didn't realize how simple it is to make those wreaths. Hello new hobby!

diamondsgirl

I am feeling a bit more festive now. :wreath:

I just went to our town's Christmas parade. My daughter plays flute in the High School marching band. It was quite chilly (about 25 degrees here) but the music and the kids and of course, Santa made it seem Christmas-ier. LOL. :xmastree:

But, you know, this kinda pissed me off. Right before the parade started, these assholes came and stood right in front of me and my mom. And not little kids either. Full grown adults. Just stepped right in front of us like we were not even there. So fucking rude. My mom almost kicked their asses. She's a fiesty one that Mama DG. :happy0004:

I actually really love Christmas. However, for me Christmas starts around Deccember 20th and no earlier.

What annoys me, what REALLY annoys me, is the forced joviality of everythin building up to it - the 'You MUST be happy' vibe that buzzes around on the TV and in the shops.

Little Texan
12-07-2009, 02:57 AM
I fucking HATE Christmas, and have for many years now. To me it's nothing but a lot of stress and strained finances from having to buy presents, being forced to listen to the same shitty Christmas songs I've heard a million times, and remembering back when I was a kid when Christmas was actually enjoyable and I got alot of expensive presents. Now it's just a big drain and I hate to see it coming every year. Fuck Christmas in the bloody ass!

January 2nd is probably my favorite day of every year. That's the day when all of the nonsense is over with and life goes back to normal, and the long, slow, financial recovery begins.

Yeah, I hate that, too. If you say anything negative about Christmas like I just did, you're called a Scrooge.

Something else I don't like about Christmas is all of the stupid tv commercials. They are especially bad this year for some reason, Best Buy ads being the worst so far.

so i'm not the only person around here who could care less about this.

i'm apache........this shit means nothing to me, and i am sick and damn tired of people always trying to force it on me.

i will honor the winter solstice and the rebirth of the sun, as i and my anscestors have done for many millennia.

i have a habit of going into hiding and solitude in late november and staying there until about the middle of january.
hermit mode.

this is the best way to avoid having to deal with this shit.

i even wrote a song on the subject, which i will record for my 4th album when i am ready to do so.
the song is called "the great helliday hide"

i know loungie boy is gonna attack my posts no matter what i say or do,
so loungie, yes i played part of "the great helliday hide" riff for the mtv people while the were filming my pre-show warm ups.

anywho, little texan, i don't blame you for calling it out as a load of rubbish.

it is.

As much as I despise this insipid season and it's display of false love and so-called compassion, the one saving grace is the airing of Jean Shephard's A Christmas Story on cable tv. TNT will be broadcasting the film this Wednesday, December 9 at 10PM (EST).

No, the movie will not restore any lost faith in the holiday. But it can curb some of the rampant cynicism or despair you might be feeling, if only for a couple of hours.

Hey Santa claus you cunt!
Where's me fucking bike?
I've unwrapped all this other junk and there's nothing that I like.
I wrote you a fucking letter and I come to see you twice
Ya worn out geriatric fart, you forgot me fucking bike.
If I wanted a pair of bloody thongs, I'd have bloody asked.
And this cowboy suit and ping pong set you can shove right up your arse!
You've stuffed me bloody order up
It's enough to make you spew
And I'm not the only one who's snakey
Me sisters dirty too!

(female voice)
Hey santa clause you cunt!
Where's me fucking pram?
You promised me you'd bring me one, you remember who I am.
'Cause I'm the little girl who you made sit right on your hand
I'll give you fucking ho ho ho
You forgot me fucking pram

(male voice)
Next time I come to see ya, I'm gonna punch you in the guts
And I'll let your fucking reihndeer go and kick Rudolf in the nuts!
You just wait 'till next year, when you go to that store
And me and me little sister, come stomping through the door
And we'll say, yeah you wait for it
Hey mums and dads you smell his breath and check his bloodshot eyes
And don't listen to him boys and girls 'cause he tells fucking lies
He's just a piss tank and a pervert, and he's not even very bright
'Cause the old fucking wanker Forgot me fucking bike.
You wait you old cunt, I'm gonna dob you in
Tell me old man on you, he's gonna punch your fucking lights out

No, they won't.

The only Google software I use is GMail, and Google itself, obviously. I only log on to look at my e-mail. I have ticked the box that says "Do not keep track of my history". I browse logged off. I use Opera. Tools -> Erase private data. Two clicks, half a second, cookies gone.

I also never stop at red lights. I know it's a plot to immobilize me long enough for Them to abduct me.

Actually, it's the yellow lights I'd worry about...

They cause insecurity in the mind of the casual driver.

Watching Elf didn't help. Can't stand being in the mall, it's giving me fits. Going to go gather up some pine cuttings and try to make swags and roping. Taking Nelson with me. Maybe that will help.

Yah...I'm hearing ya. I think it is the no snow for me. Is it me or is Dean Martin soundin' drunk with singing the Christmas songs he does. I was REALLY listening to him today and paying attention laughing my ass off.

Yeah, I hate that, too. If you say anything negative about Christmas like I just did, you're called a Scrooge.

Something else I don't like about Christmas is all of the stupid tv commercials. They are especially bad this year for some reason, Best Buy ads being the worst so far.

What about the toy car erasers.....

It was a tad in jest, but I feel happy, as you are happy.
Is there one where you can just lay on a couch, watch football,
get regular food and beer, and you can just shit and piss and demand
to see womens bits in your face during the breaks in the game ????
And the occasional knob polishing when required ??
