Dude, that was from several years ago, from around 2005 or so. Trust me, nobody was delighted by the performance at the time. It was widely circulated on newscasts, particularly on ESPN at the time. In fact, it still makes year-end top-ten lists as one of the worst "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" renditions ever done at Wrigley Field.

What's funny is that just a few nights ago, I had a living-room full of people and someone brought up Ozzy in the conversation, and how his wife is parading him around on dumbass talkshows like he was some kind of freakshow attraction.

When they met, he was just ousted from Sabbath, and intent on holing himself up in some L.A. hotel and drinking and smoking himself into a total oblivion. She kind of picked him up and put him back in the game....but at what cost??

We would've never been blessed with the awesome work of Randy Rhodes, but at the same time, he wouldn't have been subjected to the utter embarassment of that stupid-assed 'reality' show, or to the laughter of the audience of all the talk-shows she's dragged him onto because of his drug-induced stammer. It's fucking humiliating. Not only that, he lost alot of cred within the rock community.

Here's the point....at what point do you say "Thanks for resurrecting my career, but I can take it from here"?

It's not unlike selling your soul to the fucking Devil.

As much as she's saved him, she's also been the ringleader to an audience who laughs at him for what he became. It's more than just a little fucked-up.
