Dregs of society right there. Press charges, sue the guy, sue the bus company, the bus manufacturer, and the city. The bearded man can rest easy knowing his tax dollars probably paid for the ambulance as well.

The young man was definitely the aggressor. The bearded man even moved as far away as he could get to avoid the confrontation, yet the young man kept pursuing.

Think the black guy was more stunned than anything else when the old white guy actually threw some fists his way. Wasn't a sucker punch or anything like that, but clearly the black guy wasn't expecting the old white guy to actually get physical.

This site (for whatever reason) seems to have broken down what happened, the dialogue, and who the beard guy is. Turns out he's a well know character from Oakland. A damaged (as many are) Vietnam vet who it said has issues. Nobody seems to agree, but it looks like that beard man touched off the verbal confrontation somehow. But however unstable the guy appears, he still walked away from everything but a punch thrown at him...

That said, the black guy wanted to talk the talk, and the way he went down, things he said (I'm gonna come back and kill that nigga) after getting his ass kicked, he learned he can't walk the walk. Just goes to prove you never know just who you're talking to (or at in this case).

Also the woman (Iyanna Washington) is a real piece of work. She video shoots the whole thing, throws comments like "We can press charges, blood". I got it on videotape",and before she was egging it on. And the next thing she does is steal the beard guys bag, and then comment (on tape) "Let's open this shit"

Then after the video SHE uploads gets all the attention, she does an interview for CBS conveniently leaving out anything she said (so did the interviewer), and making the quote about what happened: "Ridiculous. Just Ridiculous. Crazy"...

Also another good example of how walking away from trouble sometimes is interpreted as a sign of weakness with most people. He probably figured that once the guy moved to the front of the bus that he had the upper hand in the situation, that he could "wack the crazy old man up side the head" and there'd be no repercussion. Wrong....

I didn't take it that way. This entire thing was a set-up from the beginning, and it backfired tremendously. If you listen to the explanation, the old guy was talking with a friend about getting his shoes signed, "by my boy". This could have meant just about anything, including his son. He then mentioned his brother, which could have in fact meant his actual brother. Out of nowhere, this black fellow inserts himself into the conversation, and things escalate. Of course it's just a coincidence that his girlfriend is filming the entire incident, something that commonly happens on a bus, ya know?

Even granting the possibility, or probability, that Old Pinky is a bit of a nutter, and granting that before it escalated into a physical confrontation both of them were acting like a couple of jackasses, the black guy came off looking like a wussy.
