Sounds good Barack..... but why bother with "new" regulations (especially if it's going to be under control of the "federal" reserve - as in Chris Dodd's plan ) when it would make more sense to go back to the OLD regulations (i.e. Glass-Steagal) which prevented this kind of bullshit for decades?

We can blame Bill Clinton and Alan Greenspan for deregulating the banking industry. Blowhard Obama continued with the Bush bailout. If we were to really hold Wall Street accountable he would have let the losers fail and the honest, well ran companies fill in. Instead we bailed out the scum who thanked us by raising rates and fees. Also, this healthcare law rewards Wall Street by forcing everyone to buy insurance. Wall Street rallied the Monday the healthcare bill passed the US House vote. So Obama is blowing smoke as usual.
