Heh....my blue Chevy Van died last weekend. After owning it for 11 years, putting 100,000 miles on it, and having rebuilt engine and tranny put it in about 9 years ago, the engine seized up after blowing a head gasket.

I sold it for scrap last week for $150. Bought it in 99 for 3 grand, put in about 5 grand over the years. *sigh*

Fucking cars.

What truly sucks is that a van is extremely useful. From hauling band gear, or plywood from Home Depot, or my lawnmower, or going on vacation in it and sleeping in the back at rest stops, or going on road trips with friends to concerts......now I cannot do all that. Fortunately, I still have a backup.....main vehicle is a Jeep Grand Cherokee....backup is a piece of shit Isuzu Rodeo that needs rear end work.

Ah well.

If this was 150 years ago we would be talking about our horses.

Lexuses are alright, but they're no BMWs.

In the Lexus I hear all the road noise from tires and suspension and it gets pretty loud if you drive as fast as I do on occasion.

Not so with BMW's, I have had two sevens and a 325 in the past and IMO even a Benz S-class can't beat a base 3 series these days.

I drove a 325 in college and it was bullet proof. One of the best cars I ever owned. The new 300 class BMW's are shit. One person I know says even driving his through a car wash causes electrical problems. I never have been much for Lexus cars. The interior seems cheap to me. The low end Mercedes today are shit too. I like Audis and Volkswagons. Give the new Phaeton a spin. Great car.

Yeah, they're actually reliable and don't require a lot of ticky performance maintenance...

I think you're confusing the BMW 3 series with the Mazda 323 series, loser...

Beside the road noise coming thru, another thing I don't like per Lexus I can't avoid is you have 3 sequences to select the cruisecontrol, on the BMW 7 it's two.

Are the BMWs easier to avoid as you're panhandling for change on Hollywood boulevard????

Or do you wait for the Mercedes to jump out in front of figuring they have better liability insurance???

Didn't a Mexican steal ur valet parking gig? Or was it your classic sense of incompetence and fail that cost you it?
