I know this is probably a really dumb thread. Nonetheless, I'm posting it at a few sites to get everyone's feedback from their experiences.

Here's my deal, I ordered something with plenty of time for it to arrive for a special day. It was sent via UPS and it's still yet to arrive. Their online tracking is for shit whereas the USPS rocks.

The thing is the shipping was much more to use UPS as opposed to the postal service as well.

Pardon the dumbass pun but I truly am about to go postal regarding UPS!!! Fuckers!!!

I really would both appreciate and I thank you in advance for your imput and shared experiences.

See, I've had the exact opposite experience. UPS where I'm at is better than USPS in both delivery and tracking. FedEx's tracking is also crap.

Just take note that many of the tracking systems across the board are not updated until a certain time in the day - like during the evening. I was tracking my computer about a year ago and remember not seeing scans from 7 in the morning until after 6 in the evening.

If anything, call UPS customer service with the tracking order, especially if it's been longer than delivery was stated (ex 2-3 business day shipping and it's been 5). They usually have a more updated view of the scanning than what is on the website. But, then again, that's my experience with the facility by me and what I know cuz my buddy works as customer service there.

I've had good luck with both UPS and USPS, but I prefer USPS because they are cheaper and actually a bit faster than UPS more often than not. Now Fedex, on the other hand, is slow as fuck and sucks ass! I refuse to buy from anyone on ebay that uses Fedex shipping. I think the last time I used Fedex, it took like three weeks to receive my item, and I probably would have received it in 3-4 days with either USPS or UPS.

Are you sure it was shipped that day or was the shipping info entered on that day? Many times when businesses say they shipped it, they sent the shipping info to UPS, and it then is entered into UPS' database. Then they go pick it up at the company/locale, it's scanned to ship at the facility, and then is put on a truck to either go on a plane or a freight truck. This process takes a day to a day and a half.

Yep. Reading your tracking info, that is what happened. Right now it's somewhere - probably on a freight truck or plane. It hasn't been scanned yet.

What's making your delivery longer is that that are two weekends involved. That's why you never order anything from UPS, FedEx, or USPS on a Friday. Thursdays can sometimes be questionable. You always want to do things like this on a Monday, especially if you need it for a specific date. Always consider business days only. That's when all major transit happens.

Dude. Chill.

When you order with UPS, they give you a delivery date. They're telling you that it's coming this Monday, April 26th. It's in your tracking info and you're given it when you order. UPS, for me, has never been late with the expected delivery date. In fact, sometimes, it comes a day earlier. If it's Tuesday and you don't have the package or the "hey, we tried and we weren't home" sticker, then get upset. But right now, they're on time.

I can't stand UPS, not only did my package I shipped not arrive, it was "lost" for a period of about 8 hours then it was rerouted back to the original shipping location. It was terribly damaged and no one from the UPS store bothered to contact me to tell me it had arrived back there. I had to track the damn thing down myself because the tracking info on it was so cryptic and THEN UPS denied my claim for damages.

i usually go with USPS when shipping. my friend has a UPS account at his shop, sometimes i'll drop something off there for pickup.

our UPS guy is pretty cool, there's always a Jeep or an ATV project and if we happen to be here when he shows up he'll ask what's getting worked on. my only complaint is that a lot of times he'll get here between 4 and 5:30 pm, which means something of mine won't get worked on until probably the next day.

USPS driver is okay too, she's kinda cute actually.

Here's my FedEx rant, in case anyone gives a shit because they sure DIDN'T.

Some psycho, let's call her Gina, decided to mail something to me FedEx overnight express. I did not ask for this, or want this thing. In fact, it freaked me the fuck out. But, Gina being a NUT, sent it to me. She sent it using a third party's fedex account number without their permission. So, they got charged $27, which is what is cost to send it. When they got the bill, they disputed it. FedEx then sends the bill to me. I do not even have an account with FedEx. I called FedEx and explained the situation and they said that they would "take care of it" on their end and that there was nothing else I needed to do. Sounded reasonable.

A few weeks later, I get a letter from a collections agency stating that they are working for FedEx and they are demanding the $27. I called them and explained the situation AGAIN and they said that I need to call FedEx and dispute the charges. I told them that I already did that. They said they have no record of any dispute and that I have to fill out a specific form in order for it to be an official dispute. I had to call FedEx again and they emailed me the form.
Question is:
Why the fuck should I have to do anything when I never ask for this shit in the first place??

Whatever. I filled out the form and returned it and heard nothing.

The creepiest part is what Gina actually sent me. It was a blank index card with her lipstick (yes, from her lips) kissing. You know like this:
http://amominredhighheels.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/pink_lips.jpg

Yeah.

The next time I saw Gina, she laughed and said it was "just a joke". I asked her to call Fedex to make sure it is straightened out. Do you think she did? Umm, no.

Guess what I got last week? A second notice from FedEx's collections peeps looking for $27.

Ugh.
