Those of you who have seen the sci-fi/horror film "Lifeforce" will absolutely know who I am talking about.

Kind of an expensive B movie from 1985 that begins as outer-space drama, but winds up with zombies taking over London, and efforts of the hero of the story to defeat the evil space-vampires who are sucking the life out of humanity and could cause the extinction of the human race! :lmao:

Review of it here:

Mathilda spends a large amount of onscreen time completely naked. Which of course I REALLY DIG!

As she is fucking HOT!!!

Directed by Tobe Hooper, and a British production, despite whatever cheeziness it has, there is a scene that scared the living crap out of me. Still gives me the creeps thinking about it.

There is a scene where she has been brought down to Earth from the alien spacecraft and is under guard in a dispensary of some military base.
She is alive, but they feel she is in some sort of suspended animation state or some shit. Though the viewer gets the notion that there is something extremely dangerous about this 'creature', as one does not truly know if it is human or not.

She is lying on an examination table, and security dufus gets too curious.

Suddenly.....EYES OPEN!

I mean, seriously. The look she is giving there reminds me of some kind of predator eyeing it's prey!

Needless to day, security doofus is soon dead.

But that look just creeps me the fuck out!!!

Anyway, there is a Bayer Aspirin commercial on TV that just began running this week.
I SWEAR Mathilda May is the 'spokesperson'.

The very first thing she says is something hilarious that reminded me of the film.

I have not yet saved this to my Tivo, and it is not on the net anywhere yet that I can see:

She says something like "When you wake up in the morning and you feel as though your energy has just been sucked right out of you....."

I could not believe it when I saw it.

If/when I can Tivo it, I will do a screen cap and post it. I could be wrong, could be some other chick, but the eyes are the same.

Just the thing she says is hilarious, considering the role she played in Lifeforce as the head Naked Alien Vampire Chick!

Closeup of her eyes from later in the film:

I found the commercial online. It is actually a third-party advertiser named "Brand Power".

The tag line she says is this:

When you wake up in the morning, pain can drain the energy right out of you....

Oh the irony of it all....

Better screencap....right off my DVD:

I actually got the "Eyes Open" screencaps wrong....those are from when astronaut dude first checks her out on the space shuttle. The security dufus gets the life sucked out of him in the dispensary where I took the screencap above.

This is really odd, as it appears that Bayer is hiring women as spokespersons for it products from a list of actresses that formerly were employed in horror films. There was an ad for Citracal this afternoon on the Bio channel, featuring Kate Hodge. Her film credits include Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, The Hidden II and tv appearances in Tales from the Crypt and FRINGE.

Given Bayer's history, I'm sure they understand actual horror very well.
