I could go into the story of who, what, where, why, when and how because I was there and a part of the event. In addition, it is an interesting story. However, it would overshadow the central theme I am wishing to express.

To those knowledgeable, X was not an ex. However, X did ask about moral issues concerning how to reconcile an employment need to a obvious questionable situation.

I find it relatively amusing that Gar is trying to push the blame for his behavior off on the Sheep Pen. That's pretty funny, actually. Contrary to what Gar may want people to think, the purpose of the Pen was two-fold: 1) Induct a Hagar fan as "Sheep of the Week" and bash the hell out of him, as a running parallel joke to the sort of treatment Roth fans received over at the Links whenever anybody attempted to go anti-Hagar on anything; and 2) Run out those who were obviously trolling the website.

Things have certainly changed over the years, for sure, and I don't think anybody's going to argue that The Sheep Pen is hardly the entity that it used to be these days. In fact, I think Gar's more concerned about that place and it's members than even the members themselves, to be quite honest. Keeping the thread alive is important, and a funny piece to re-read when you're bored (trust me, I know), but as an excuse for anybody's behavior ("I WASN'T LIKE THIS BEFORE THE SHEEP PEN HAPPENED!!!!") is just beyond stupid and as such, par for the course with a stupid person like Gar. Not surprising at all to find him blaming away without accepting any personal responsibility for what he himself types into this place.

I think Gar has pushed the boundaries about as far as he possibly can, and has made out of color comments about the Presidents race (and the race of anybody not white and unemployed like him) numerous times, this isn't a secret to anybody. While I can understand there being a clear set of rules set up in regards to banning somebody on a permanent basis, if there's only one person REALLY running the show and everybody else seems to have little interest in the day to day goings on, I would hope that that one person would be able to examine a situation for what it is, decide whether or not following the rules is perpetuating or escalating a problem and then decide whether or not to make an executive decision and act accordingly.

If Gar is not going to be banned for his actions, then I can only assume (hope) that VA has done that and decided that it's better for Gar to pollute threads, straddle the line of bannable behavior and piss off 90% of the decent posters here in nearly every thread he posts in.

If that's the case, then VA has decided that the Gar cancer is better than the chemo of a ban. So be it. Of course, any thread that Gar posts in is probably going to derail into a shitstorm of insults, but as far as Gar is concerned, that's all the Sheep Pen's fault, so I guess you can blame Nick and I predominantly for his behavior, since Nick and I are basically the last of the original Pen staff that care enough about to the Army to even bother posting here on a regular basis anymore.
