Who will be the next hottie to get a wad shot onto her from Spiderman? Bad remark but who gives a fuck. These are the runners I guess. Who would you choose?
Now that Andrew Garfield is attached to play Peter Parker in an upcoming "Spider-Man" project, the studio is reportedly starting to consider who will play his leading lady.

THR reports that there are a number of actresses in contention to play the part of Spider-Man’s love interest, but these are just meetings. If all six of the names mentioned in the report fall to the wayside, don’t be surprised.

The names of the handful of women reportedly being considered are listed below, although the entertainment trade paper did note that others are also thought to be in the running for the role:

Imogen Poots

You’ve likely seen this 21-year-old Brit in quite a few places, even if you don’t recognize her name. She’s had roles in “28 Weeks Later”; “V for Vendetta,”; “Me and Orson Welles”; and “Solitary Man.” Poots is currently working on a remake of “Fright Night.”

Lily Collins

British/American actress Lily Collins, 21, is the daughter of Phil Collins and was last seen in “The Blind Side” as Collins Tuohy.

Teresa Palmer

Teresa Palmer is a 24-year-old Australian actress who can now be seen alongside Nicolas Cage in “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”

Ophelia Lovibond

This 24-year-old British actress had a starring role in the recent U.K. films “Nowhere Boy" (2009) and "4.3.2.1" (2010).

Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts, 19, is the daughter of Eric Roberts (so yes, that makes Julia Roberts her aunt) and rose to fame on Nickelodeon’s “Unfabulous.” She also played the lead in “Nancy Drew” in 2007.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Winstead, 25, has a number of horror flicks under her belt, including “Final Destination 3” and “The Ring 2,” but if you want to see her on the big screen and not have to scream in fear, she’s playing opposite Michael Cera in “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.”

They should be looking for gals to play a cartoon character, not a beauty pageant.

Well, is it Mary Jane or Gwen Stacy? I'm guessing MJ, since they're basing this on Ultimate Spider-Man (which is a BRILLIANT move, and Andrew Garfield is going to be F-ing AWESOME as Peter Parker...he's almost too good for super hero shit, which is the first step in the right direction). Regarding MJ, I'd say Lily Collins.

I'm sure I would have loved this trend for superhero films if it had happened 30 years ago.

What's wrong with a little modern fantasy folklore?

I'd pick Emma Roberts of this group. I'm assuming she'd play the younger MJ, which she looks closer to the original character, than any of these others.

I have no idea why they dumped the original cast to start over: it's like, if something is working why change it?

I think I quit following these storylines over 30 years ago as well, but that doesn't mean I'd appreciate a little continuity in storyline and cast!

They all look like spoiled brats whose only topics of conversation is nail polish & shoes, with like & totally between each word.

Then again, I'm not planning on watching this shit.

Apart from the 3 Superman films & 4 Batmans, there's no superhero film worth watching. They're all brainless CGI pseudo action flicks with an incredibly bad & extremely loud music score that tries to make you feel like something interesting is actually happening. Like a child trying to get your attention by crying really loud.

Cheers! :bottle:
