Via Curbed LA: Heavy metal musician Ronnie James Dio died of stomach cancer in May, and his Encino home has just been put on the market this week for $3.333 million. The home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, over 5,000 square feet of living space, and was built in the style of an English manor. Usually listings like to boast about how new all the appliances are, but this one highlights antique features: "200 year old wood [floors] from France, pub bar from the Kings Arms in Chiqwell Essex, England c. 1820, & custom stained antique windows from the 18th & 19th centuries." Don't forget the antique cathedral windows in the master bedroom, circa 1790! As is befitting a rock legend, it also comes equipped with a custom music studio.

Sounds exactly like the kind of thing that crazy bitch would do.Followed by a black sabbath reunion cashing in on ozzy out living him, thus he is the best singer/frontman of all time

This kind of speaks to the type of person Dio was. 5000 square feet is somewhat modest for a rock star. He had the space he needed and probably didn't feel the need to have a mansion with rooms that he never visited just for the sake of being lavish. A very cool house and very cool man.

Nice place indeed. I too would buy it in a heartbeat if I had $3.3 mil kicking about...

I'm done with the living-in-a-castle thing. I like the neighborhood but that's about all I like about it.

This kind of speaks to the type of person Dio was.

It speaks of drugs and losers hanging around drinking up your shit patting you on the head telling you how great you are, that's what it speaks of.

"Pre-millenium / post-Hippie poseur circa 1973" is one missing term I could email the agent..

Selling is exactly what I'd expect Wendy to do... I don't know about the market in that neck of the woods but there isn't enough MAGIC in all SoCal to nail $666 a square foot for this as-is monstrocity. It's too much! And why ($3,330,000.00 / 5000 = $666) the Devil of a price anyway?
