Dems deserve it for being such a bunch of pussies, but assuming they retain the Senate, do you think anything will really change ?

I don't know. My gut feeling is that conservatives and Repubs will make it out to be a slap in the face of the administration. A see we told you so type of thing. Legislatively they will try to repeal Obama care. That should take up the remaining 2 years Obama has in office.

I don't know I guess we have to wait and see.

Any guesses on what the total takes will be for each chamber? 30 in the house, 9 in the senate?

I think it will push 40 in the House. I really don't know in the Senate. I have not been following that closely.

Dems already have 40 seats in the Senate that aren't up for re-election, 23 for the Reps.... There are 37 seats running today, the Reps would have to win 27 of those 37 to even get it to 50/50....

The whole thing reminds me of the election taking place early in the movie Moon Over Parador. The Paradorians could vote for either the blue or red parties. The thing is, both parties had the President For Life Alphonse Simms' (Richard Dreyfuss) picture on their campaign posters.

I would actually prefer for the senate to remain democratic. Wiuth the Senatate and presidency as democratic, they can shoulder more of the blame when O(b)sama vetoes bills. That bodes well for conservatives in 2012.

What's that line I'm thinking of...? Oh yeah, "meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

If enough anti-Obamacare reps take the house they can cut the funding to Obamacare off. So it doesn't matter what it has set up, they can't do anything without any money. Then we get rid of Obama and repeal the law. Obama will fight tooth and nail no matter how unpopular it is with the public. So we will have a lame duck president and congress in stalemate for two years.

The next strategy is to get a good presidential candidate. They have to give Sarah Palin the cold shoulder after this election. The Republican have to go after the middle instead of being the playground for the right wing radicles. I think the Democrats and their greed have really blown it. The Republicans have a second opportunity but I don't see them putting anyone out there that the country as a whole wants to get behind.

Michael Steele said he thinks they may only get at best 37 seats, not nearly the 60 or 70 they originally predicted.

I think the Democrats and their greed have really blown it.

The Demobrats aren't greedy as much as they are collectively stupid. To me they are more dangerous than inept mental health social workers who spew the rhetoric of "improving the quality of life" while forgoing the cost of the individual's well-being in the first place. Obama sees America as a land that lost its fundamentals (no, not those fundamentals) due to corporate and Wall Street greed while forgetting at the same time it was many of those corporations and Wall Streets suits who paid to put his ass in Office in the first place.

Now we have a "Tea Party" grassroots movement where now the dumbest down of the dumbest downed of American social clowns can be seen and unfortunately heard. Tea Party activist are screaming for "rights" to be free from taxes and unfounded socialism yet living on AND, welfare, food stamps, subsidized housing, etc. I will give the Demobrats some credit in saying that you can't have it both ways when it comes to the what is mine of the lie that is the American Dream; Obama believes you can work yourself out of impending poverty you work hard enough and if you don't because you don't subscribe to his unfortitidious politics of "YES WE CAN" then fuck you. Exactly what Tea Party morons want to hear. Truth is, the Rethugs know this and know much of America is obese, lazy, disenfranchised and disillusioned and so they run on campaigns of we'll make this right by fucking up the educational system further (without knowledge, who wants to question the status quo?), striping social programs and redirectiing that money back to the pockets of the rich who invest it overseas in profiteering factoring and tax shelters, creating falsehood enemies (or exploiting non-existent ones) in the name of freedom while feeding the war machine and repeatedly misuse words like "socialism."

Fuck, that sounded so anarchistic, didn't it? The system as we have it and whomever is running it needs not to be "changed" as it does gutted; move the Capitol out of D.C. to a shithole like...like Bakersfield pay our Representatives minimum wage and give them a ultimatum of 8 months to do what they set out to do. If not, they get to be publically whipped at a Superbowl halftime show for what would seem to me be REAL entertainment.

Just have the US Senators and US Congressmen vote on a secure electronic network from their home states. All the lobbyists are in Washington DC. so let's dilute the system and make it more difficult for them. We have a constitutional republic, it's better than a democracy, it's worked pretty well for 200 plus years. The problem is too many Americans just aren't involved in the process. They got fat, dumb, and expect entitlements and the consequences be damned. Just like ancient Rome toss the masses some bread and some entertainment and those in control can reap the mother load.

Obama is Goldman Sachs best friend. At least the investment bankers in his cabinet were smart enough to jump ship this month because they know the big O is a one termer.

Anyways I'm off to vote, at least it will make me feel like I did something, so I'm off to save western civilization from itself.
