Eddie Trunk Suckfest Last Night

I have been one of the biggest supporters of Eddie Trunk in the past but i must say that he is starting to piss me off. Last night to start off his show, he played all in a row - Bad Motor Scooter, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Amsterdam, and a Chickenfoot song. Afterwards, he commented on the fact that he wanted to play 4 eras of Hagar. He noted that he should have played five but he forgot about the HSAS stuff. He went on to say that the Chickenfoot record has gone gold and the band gave him a gold record to hang in his home for supporting and playing their stuff. Needless to say, i turned the show off and didn't listen for the rest of the night. That being said, since i have called in before and mentioned the Roth Army to give the board a shout out, i am asking for some questions to pose the next time i call in to really let this guy have it. I am sick of his constant Sammy affections and think a message needs to be sent. You guys give me some questions i can ask him to kind of drive our point home. :biggrin:

I dunno man, it's fairly hard to put things into respective, given the fact that there are so few acts that have 5 distinct levels of suck to their credit. You could offhandedly mention that by playing any of them (let alone all of them) more than likely will have a devastatingly negative effect on his listening audience, and that he might wish to take this into account should his ratings begin to slip. Advise him to avoid the suckage at his nearest opportunity.

I don't really think Eddie Trunk falls within your premise; kind of like comparing apples to oranges but i see where you are going. Generally speaking your are right.

I think it was one of those deer in headlights kind of situations. I was so pissed and in disbelief i couldn't turn the channel. Plus i wanted to stick around to hear his explanation for playing such. That is when he explained how they gave him a gold record.

I agree with you 100%. I think that is why i have been a fan despite his open worship for such bands as Kiss and UFO. I can see the UFO and i like early Kiss so i can look past it. Sammy worship changes the game.

Eddie Trunk's show on XM....even with this set back...is still the best programed four hours on The Boneyard.

That merger really fucked up what was once a great station...fucking Sirius.
