Although I`ve heard complaints about the DVD, Queensryche`s new live album "The art of live" is excellent.

It`s a lot better than "Live evolution".

New guitarist Mike Stone fills Chris DeGarmo`s shoes well and is an improvement on misfit Kelly Gray, whose bluesy style never fitted the `Ryche`s techno-rock.

Highlights are kick ass versions of "Anybody listening?", "Best I can" and a three song acoustic set featuring "Rhythm of hope", "My global mind" and a reinvention of "Roads to madness".

Tracklist:

Tribe
Sign of the times
Open
Losing myself
Desert dance
The great divide
Rhythm of hope
My global mind
Roads to madness
Della Brown
Anybody listening?
Breaking the silence
The needle lies
Best I can

Check it out!

That`s what I thought was so cool about it.

When you buy live CDs by Iron maiden, Kiss Etc. it`s always the same shit with maybe one or two different tracks.

By my reckoning, only three of the songs have appeared on official live album releases.

Most of the songs you guys mentioned we already have once or twice over so it`s great to get something different.

Although I am pretty pissed that there`s nothing from "Rage for order", "Neue regel" or "I dream in infrared" maybe, although I think Geoff Tate, as good as he is, might struggle to hit some of those notes these days.

False.

Unfortunately I have a lot of work on at the moment and have V little time to do anything.

Hopefully soon.

I really liked it although it isn`t a lot like the 1986-93 albums.

More modern rock than metal, experimentations with down tuning and not a lot of guitar solos.

Well worth a listen.

Buy the live CD to get a flava of the new stuff.

Never cared a whole lot for Queensryche. Some of it's really good.

But, back in the 80s, it seemed every band that came to town, Queensryche opened for them. Back then I hated 'em.

I bought "The Warning"..just to give it a listen. I didn't really "like" their music until "Empire" though. However, it wasn't enough for me to want to see them live again.

I am capitalism personified.

It comes at a price, though.

When you work down the mine, by the time you get home you are black and tired.

What can I say?

Ten hours down there is shit.

I think about the money.

I`m still thinking about the money.

It`s all I ever do.

Except wanking.

When you`re an ex-con, it`s hard to get a job.

Unless it`s picking potatoes or testing cigarettes.
