The Democrats and Republicans both are a joke and have no clue. When both teams suck, why do you want to cheer for any of them?

The only way I see to create real jobs and not just more government slush ran from non-productive money and debt, is a 25% tariff on Chinese imports. We pay them back and get out of debt, and it would make domestic produced goods competitive. Since our production capacity has been utterly gutted there would be a huge demand for workers across the board. Nobody would need an unemployment check. Then China might realize they need to treat their own people better and pay them enough to where they can afford the products they produce.

The lie they taught in college in the late 80's was technology would make up for the manufacturing losses. They just outsourced the tech jobs as well. Just go to California and see. The Silicon Valley is a far cry from what it was 20 years ago. Putting more people to work for the government is just going to make more people dependant on an unsustainable house of cards. You have to have productive capacity or the system implodes.

I find it funny you see protectionism as a way forward but that's maybe just because I've driven a US made car... :)

Yea forget about paying my electric, gas, water, mortgage & putting food on the table I'm going to say this money even though it's the only income I have. What a dumb fuck!!

It's going to be the trickle down theory! If people don't have money to spend, stores won't need to hire because no one is spending so they get laid off, warehouses won't be sending out merchandise because their is no demand, those workers get laid off etc!!
