Nigeria agency says to charge Dick Cheney over Halliburton

It may seem odd to one’s ears hearing that Nigeria is planning corruption charges against Dick Chaney.

In all actually, it is not.
Some of you here partake in the tricking of the tricksters, as I call it. I do not partake in that; I say, “Fighting fraud with fraud only leads to more fraud.” I can understand in desperation with no means of law enforcement protection; needful though misguided ways, take on an creativity.

I take part in a grassroots effort to assist some of the most challenged areas of the world to address corruption and fraud. Naturally, one of those areas is Nigeria.

Dealing with corruption and fraud in Nigeria is a huge challenge. In the 1980’s, or there about, there was a misguided alliance, whom is not exactly clear, that lobbied to the people that fraud was a means to an end, that end being ultimately being justice.

Predatory conglomerates ravaged Nigeria, economically, socially, and environmentally. There was little regulation in Nigeria and rich resources. Moreover, Nigeria was a naïve-inexperienced-green-raw state of the likes that is more difficult to find in today’s informational situation.

    Please watch http://www.poisonfire.org/

A state of corruption was born. To an extent, it does go back father than the recent generation. Nevertheless, I am not writing this to give an historical account of Nigeria or that region of Africa, nor am I inclined to detail Colonial misdeeds. Nor I am inclined to point out the abandonment of Nigeria by the regionally established governments of that era.

Today, the grassroots efforts to assist communities fraught with fraud are addressed in a more ethical way. Tools, expertise, and good old fashion open conversations, tête-à-têtes, and brainstorming sessions are the norms. The goal is to find, encourage, and enable persons that are able to endure the type of challenges that come from exposing corruption and fraud, which are often have a history generations long. This is no easy task. Moreover, addressing corruption is just as daunting for those that have the passion.

A couple years ago a conversation was had. The exchange was

“Look what ‘they’ have done to us! We are justified.”

“No, you have brought shame and disrepute to your homeland”

    “What can be done?”

    “You hold them accountable. “

The conversation went on over a couple months. Sometimes encouragement was the topic, other times practical knowledge was the topic.

A lot of work has gone into being able even to think of such a grand task as a Cheney Collar. I would like to say, “Congratulations, my friends in Nigeria, you have won.”, but this is not a truthful statement. Addressing corruption is a tough, never-ending job. However, if this charge comes through, and God willing it does, it is documentation for the world court, a brick for Nigeria’s EFFC humble adobe. In addition, a list of more places Cheney needs not be hapless in his travels.

We should all be pleased about Nigeria’s humble triumph.

One thing is for certain, Nigeria was not on the top list of diplopic (sic) influence by diplomats.

N R may the Angels brush your path and only the best of Jinn be your friend. Take care.

LAGOS (Reuters) – Nigeria's anti-corruption police said on Thursday they planned to file charges against former Vice President Dick Cheney in a $180 million bribery case involving a former unit of oil services firm Halliburton.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday summoned the country chief of Halliburton and last week detained 10 Nigerian and expatriate Halliburton staff for questioning after raiding its Lagos office.

"We are filing charges against Cheney," EFCC spokesman Femi Babafemi told Reuters, but declined to give any further details on what the charges were, or where they would be filed.
Houston-based engineering firm KBR, a former Halliburton unit, pleaded guilty last year to U.S. charges that it paid $180 million in bribes between 1994 and 2004 to Nigerian officials to secure $6 billion in contracts for the Bonny Island liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in the Niger Delta.
KBR and Halliburton, which was once headed by Cheney, reached a $579 million settlement in the United States but Nigeria, France and Switzerland have conducted their own investigations into the case.

      HA!

The EFCC cannot even pick up the lowliest 419 yahoo-boi working in the netcafes of Festac.

What makes them think they will stand a chance of actually pursuing a case against Dickless Cheney?

      Here is the full article:

Nigeria's anti-corruption agency is to charge former US Vice-President Dick Cheney over a bribery scandal that involves a former subsidiary of energy firm Halliburton.

The case centres on engineering firm KBR, which admitted bribing officials.

A lawyer for Mr Cheney said allegations he was involved in the scandal were "entirely baseless".

Mr Cheney was Halliburton's chief executive before becoming vice-president to George W Bush in 2001.

A spokesman for the anti-corruption agency, Femi Babafemi, said the charges were likely to be brought against Mr Cheney next week.

Mr Babafemi said the charges were "not unconnected to his role as the chief executive of Halliburton".

KBR last year pleaded guilty to paying $180m (£115m) in bribes to Nigerian officials prior to 2007, when it was a subsidiary of Halliburton. The firm agreed to pay $579m (£372m) in fines related to the case in the US.

But Nigeria, along with France and Switzerland, has conducted its own investigations into the case.

Mr Cheney's lawyer, Terence O'Donnell, said US investigators had "found no suggestion of any impropriety by Dick Cheney in his role of CEO of Halliburton".

"Any suggestion of misconduct on his part, made now, years later, is entirely baseless," Mr O'Donnell said.

      Office raid
The bribes concerned the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in southern Nigeria.

KBR and Halliburton have now split, and Halliburton says it is not connected with the case against KBR.

Halliburton denies involvement in the allegations.

It has complained that a raid on its office last week by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission officials was "an affront against justice".

Ten people were detained for questioning and later released.

A prosecutor quoted by the Agence France-Presse news agency said those charged would include former and current leaders of Halliburton and officials from firms in a consortium involved in the LNG plant.

Nigeria is a member of the oil cartel Opec and is one of the world's biggest oil exporters.

Halliburton split from KBR in 2007 and has said that its current operations in Nigeria are unrelated.
It has described last week's EFCC raid as "an affront against justice," said its offices were ransacked and personnel assaulted, and pledged to defend its staff against what it said were "completely false and outrageous actions."
"As indicated in previous legal activity in the United States, one of the participants in the (Bonny Island) project was a subsidiary of Halliburton Company for part of that period of time," it said in a statement last week.
"The Halliburton oil field services operations in Nigeria have never in any way been any part of the LNG project and none of the Halliburton employees have ever had any connection to or participation in that project," it said.
        POLITICAL CONNECTIONS
Halliburton said last year it had "reason to believe" payments may have been made to Nigerian officials by agents of its TSKJ consortium, which built the Bonny Island facility.
Albert "Jack" Stanley, a former KBR chief executive officer who had worked under Cheney when he headed Halliburton, pleaded guilty in 2008 to charges stemming from a scheme to bribe Nigerian officials for work on the Bonny Island plant.
As well as KBR, the TSKJ consortium also included France's Technip SA, Italy's Snamprogetti -- a unit of Italian oilfield services company Saipem, whose parent company is Eni -- and Japan's JGC Corp.
One senior employee each from Saipem Contracting Nigeria Ltd and Technip Offshore Nigeria Ltd were also questioned by the EFCC along with the 10 Halliburton staff after last week's raid.
Babafemi declined to say whether any of those executives would have charges brought against them.
Nigeria will hold presidential elections in April. Incumbent Goodluck Jonathan faces a challenge for the ruling party nomination from former vice president Atiku Abubakar, who was in office between 1999 and 2007.
Some analysts have suggested the sudden revival of interest in the Halliburton case is no coincidence.
Abubakar's opponents have in the past tried to link him to the case, allegations he has dismissed as a smear campaign.
He was quoted in September as saying there was no evidence against him and that nobody in the United States or elsewhere had sought to question him on the matter.
"This is just the work of political opponents who will stop at nothing in order to destroy your political career," he said.

They have been trying to arrest Henry Kissinger for years and he slips away. Local officials in Ireland tried to arrest Kissinger last year when he showed up for a Trilateral Commission Meeting and high officials in the Irish government stepped in a saved his ass.

These guys are too connected to the big international banks who own the central banks of various nations.

They control most the politicians and are so powerful the US Congress can't even get an audit on the Federal Reserve so that makes these banks more powerful than the elected government.

If we can get these banks under elected control then we can turn the tide.

I feel bad for Ireland because their central bank has sold them out to the International Monitary Fund and World bank which basically are holding companies and offshore banks are aquiring their local banks. So the Irish better get ready to get fleeced and see all their money and resources go to fat bankers offshore. All this is done in the name of settling debt created by the banks themselves so it's createing a ponzi scheme in then stealing real assets and controlling people. All nations have to do to avoid this is seize the central banks, audit them, and put them under the control of the treasury department. Then arrest guys like Chenney that are obviously involved with these banks, their wars, and scams.

It's all one big ponzi scheme and it's breaking nations and ruining their sovergnty. Most of the politicians are bought and paid for but these idiots fail to realize if the banks can screw the little guy, they can turn on politicians as well. You print money out of nothing, get people and nations into debt, take them over when they default and keep them in debt forever while enjoying the wealth that you invested nothing to aquire. That's called fractional reserve banking and we need to stop it.

A Bohemian Club jacket came up on Ebay and holy shit did the price get bided up to the stratosphere. Anything from the Grove or Club is highly collectable. I don't thin those guys go to the grove every July so you might not get them. You would find other politicians and corporate leaders though. Maybe the younger generation of the people who are going to screw us over.

I would imagine they have started other groups and clubs by now. The Bohemian Club and Bilderberg Group have too much publicity now and a few years ago, that wasn't the case.

What's interesting is David Rockefeller was on Charlie Rose showing his Asian art collection and mentioned the Bilderberg Group and said he started the Trilateral Commission because the Bilderberg Group were prejudiced and didn't want to bring the Japanese in. They told David lets stick with the original plan. Rockefeller was smart enough to see the Japanese and Asia were going to be the future economic powerhouse and wanted to bring them into the group to consolidate power.

So a lot of powerful people start various groups and the main purpose of them is to consolidate economic and political power and they don't always agree and start other groups. I don't know if Bilderberg and David Rockefeller had a falling out or if Mr. Rockefeller is just too old to give a shit anymore.

My father in law worked in aerospace his whole life. He was a project manager. One day he was really complaining about working at Boeing and wanted to quit. We were talking about corrupt CEO's, corporations, and golden parachutes. He was grumbling that most of them are Bohemians or probably even Bilderbergers. I went what? Why would corrupt corporate leaders be artists and what in the fuck is a Bilderberger? It sound like a type of sausage.

He said, "You don't know about the Bohemian Club and Bilderberg Group?" I said no. He said they were well known in the aerospace industry. He said the Bohemian Club is a good ol boy network of corporate board members and polticians and he said the Bilderbergs were very secret and very powerful. He said the Bilderbergers had a meeting every year and after the meeting something big would happen. He said after their meeting in Germany the Berlin Wall came down and thought Gorbechev was working with them. In hindsight, Gorbechev turned out to be a big time globalists more than a communist hard liner.

So I heard all of this from my father-in law and he knew it from working in the military industrial complex. He just told me the corruption was unbelievable and he really feared for the country. He was not a happy camper and took early retirement because he couldn't stand the corruption any longer.

It's a real group of people who have met since 1954. Their meetings are not open to the public but big bankers always attend. Most of the central bankers, the world bank president. Evelyn Rothschild met his new wife at Bilderberg and this was published in a business publication.

Goldman Sachs is always well represented at Bilderberg. I would say a lot of the banking collusion and corruption it coordinated in the group.

Anyways, you are seeing the group mentioned in mainstream publications now. It's not as secret as it used to be.
