The thing about the SOTU speech that really irks me...and I mean really bad, is that he is going to emphatically state that "Our primary focus for 2011 is now jobs". WHAT THE FUCK?! He said that in Jan 2010, he said that in Jan 2009. And each beginning of the year he has said that, he follow up the year by doing something completely different & not even focusing on jobs at all. Wasted all of last year shoving health care down our throats. He knows Americans have a short attention span & only hear what he says now, not remembering he has said this the 2 previous years and done nothing.

He knows that the economy will come back on it's own & jobs will come back as well. He will just start every year saying it's his primary focus, and once it begins it's own self correction he will take all the credit. He is a liar and only says what people want to hear. I really wish people would pay attention to what this joker actually does, and totally ignores what he says. Because the two do not coincide.

I'm going to start promising you guys that I will prepare you for 2016. Over & over I will state I am doing everything necessary to prepare us all for 2016. It's my primary focus. I will actually do nothing other than say this. Then on January 1, 2016 I will come here and proclaim "See? I told you I would prepare you all for 2016. Praise me. “My fellow Americans. Two years ago, 69 million of us voted for me to be our President. It was the largest vote for President that any person has ever received. But I understand that you did not support me merely because I have an unusual name. Especially the middle one. No, you supported me because I promised the change we need.

“We have been through two hard years, with many people losing their jobs, and many people losing their homes. You know that I did nothing to cause these problems, and I tried hard to solve them. Although our accomplishments have been substantial, an intransigent Republican minority in the Senate has blocked much of my legislative program.

“But a President is more than a legislative program. Although my title is ‘President,’ you did not elect me to preside. You elected me to lead.

“We are at a fork in the road. The Republican House Leadership demonstrated last week that its highest legislative priority is to prevent 30 million Americans from seeing a doctor when they are sick. We can let Republican control of the House of Representatives doom us to no progress, no change, for the next two years. “I choose the latter. As for the Republican leaders, they can lead, follow, or just get out of the way.

“These are the things that I will do now, to give us the good government that we Americans deserve, and the change we need:

“First, to give the economy an immediate boost, I will direct the executive agencies to accelerate the obligation of federal contracts and grants, rather than waiting until the end of the fiscal year.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The new Republican House majority leader says he doesn't think questions about President Barack Obama's citizenship should play a role in the discussion of policy matters.

Two years into the Obama administration, so-called birthers continue to argue that Obama isn't a natural-born citizen and that he hasn't proved he's constitutionally qualified to be president. Birth records in Hawaii haven't dissuaded them.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor says he believes Obama is a citizen and that most Americans are beyond that question.

"I don't think it's an issue that we need to address at all. . It is not an issue that even needs to be on the policy-making table right now whatsoever," he said.

Appearing Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," Cantor refused to call people who question Obama's citizenship "crazy."

"I don't think it's nice to call anyone crazy," Cantor said

Cantor says he believes that Obama wants what's best for the country and that there are honest disagreements over how to achieve that.

Birthers say there's no proof he was born in the United States; many of these skeptics question whether he was actually born in Kenya, his father's home country.

Hawaii's health director said in 2008 and 2009 that she had seen and verified Obama's original vital records, and birth notices in two Honolulu newspapers were published within days of Obama's birth at Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital in Honolulu.

Health Department spokeswoman Janice Okubo again confirmed on Friday that Obama's name is found in its alphabetical list of names of people born in Hawaii, maintained in bound copies available for public view.

Hawaii's Democratic governor, Neil Abercrombie, who was a friend of Obama's parents and knew him as a child, began an effort last month to find a way to dispel conspiracy theories that the president was born elsewhere. The governor said he was bothered by people who questioned Obama's birthplace for political reasons.

But Abercrombie's office said Friday that he was ending his quest because it's against state law to release private documents. The state's attorney general told the governor he can't disclose an individual's birth documentation without a person's consent.

The Obama campaign issued a certificate of live birth in 2008, an official document from the state showing the president's birth date, city and name, along with his parents' names and races.

The true irony, of course, is that it was McCain who wasn't born in the US. And no, it wasn't even a matter of being a Navy brat born in a base hospital. He was actually born in a Panamanian civilian hospital, just outside of the canal zone. Of course his parents were citizens (as was Obama's mother) so it's all ridiculous anyway, but if you really wanted to test the "natural born citizen" clause in the Constitution, it would have been Grandpa Simpson who had the questionable birth.

I'm personally disgusted with Obamy. Volunteerism, higher education and trying to kickstart what's left of America's ingenuity that hasn't been sold to the Chinese will not create jobs, reduce the deficit or even feed the poor. The man is a puppet long on 1984 - 1986 Rethuglican speech rhetoric but short on any real solutions. Bland, anecdotal stories of Mr So-And-So with cancer and Ms Such-And-Such with a teaching degree, inspiring as those tales may be, they hardly created any employment for anyone, did it? America, if anything, is slowly dumbing itself down, increasing in obesity and slough. When I went to the Soviet Union in 1978 that's pretty much how the place ran. You had to stand in six lines to buy anything and go through a permission process for each step. I took half the day to buy one item because you had to do this for each item. Then anything made there had numerous inspection stamps. I wondered why all this stupidity and I was just a 12 year old kid at the time but then it donned on me this created jobs. It gave people something to do. I thought Obama was going to balloon the government in the same way and then use taxes and regulations to break the independent businesses to force everyone to work for the government.

In a way that might be what he's been after but he's in bed hard with large multinational corporations and banks. So they will still use the FDA to break small farmers and then buy their land and water rights up cheap but this will be to the benefit of Archer Daniels Midland and Monsanto. Maybe even a Chinese owned corporation that has bought out politicians. So what is going on is the politicians like Obama set the mandate, the government agencies harass and regulate and the corporations reap the spoils. So I don't know where the middle class go for a job in this situation. I thought they would be herded to work in the civilian police force and do snoop inspections or whatever.

What would help America is letting people work for themselves and produce themselves out of the problem themselves. The main problem I see is people have gotten to lazy to do this. I think the people are the main problem and the lousy politicians just reflect the shitty state the lazy and apathetic people have allowed it to degenerate into.

Nobody took it from us, we just rolled over and let them rape us basically.

What we need to do is audit the Federal Reserve Bank and see what is really going on with that. Then we need to faze out the Federal Reserve Note and replace it with a US Treasury Note backed by commodities. If you look at the world situation commodities are where the real value is and paper has lost confidence. The US is a abundant country with lot's of resources to base a currency on. Then we need to write off a lot of debt worldwide held by these large banks; especially, third world debt. They system got so corrupt those debts are impossible to pay anyways. Then we can slap big tariffs on Chinese goods and pay them back with the tax money and get rid of that debt.

One big problem is what to do with the Social Security liability and government pension liabilities. The politicians have raided these and there is no money and they don't even put them on the public balance sheet to make our liabilities look smaller. We can just scrap both but that means a lot of people will be screwed out of their retirement money.

It's just proof socialist programs don't work. Someone always steals the money and then the people get the shaft. It's why I have always felt people are better off being in charge of their own money and learning from life's hard knocks.

Maybe the government is so fucked nobody has a solution. Maybe it's in the real process of tanking. Governments traditionally get very active when they start to fail and they always squeeze the little guy in the end. This is exactly what is going on and the corporations are trying to set themselves up as being the next government.
