CBS has pulled the plug on "Two and a Half Men"... for now.

Just hours after Charlie Sheen went on a radio rampage, blasting his bosses at the television show, CBS issued a statement on behalf of the network and "...Men's" production company, announcing they were pulling the show from production of new episodes.

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of 'Two and a Half Men' for the remainder of the season," CBS said in a statement late Thursday night.

Not long after CBS and Warner Bros. issued their statement, Sheen had some words of his own, specifically aimed at show creator Chuck Lorre.

"What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows ... I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can't handle my power and can't handle the truth," Sheen said in an open letter, posted on TMZ's website.

Sheen went even further, attacking Lorre, suggesting this is a battle and claiming the fans will support him.

"I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words -- imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists," Sheen's statement continued. "I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.

"Remember these are my people ... not yours...we will continue on together," he added.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Sheen called into a nationally syndicated radio show on Thursday and unleashed a shocking rant in which he attacked Alcoholics Anonymous and his hit CBS show.

"I was told if I went on the attack, they would cancel the show and all that and so I'm just sort of seeing if they're telling the truth or not," Charlie claimed to host Alex Jones in an interview for his radio show, "The Alex Jones Show," on Thursday, referring to his CBS bosses.

"Are they happy with the $5 billion they already made off me or do they think they can turn it into $10 [billion] in a couple more seasons?" Charlie continued. "I'm just saying, you know [the show] is a runaway freakin' juggernaut."

Charlie made it abundantly clear he doesn't believe the show can survive without him, telling Alex, "Watch your ratings, dudes. Watch your stupid ratings.

"Do what you've gotta do -- I'll go make movies with superstars and not work with idiots," he threatened.

The 45-year-old also blasted show creator Chuck Lorre, calling him a "turd" while claiming that he embarrassed Chuck "in front of his children and the world by healing at a pace that his un-evolved mind cannot process."

Oh he was only making $1 million and threatened to quit the show unless they doubled his pay. Negotiations ensued and they settled on $1.8 million. It's all about profit. They are willing to pay Charlie that if he's pulling enough ratings to sell enough advertising. I mean that show was based around him and he was the key to making it work. But never forget actors are employees, and networks only care about the money. As soon as you don't pull in the ratings or your cost and bullshit hit diminishing returns, you are gone. What's interesting about these violent schitzophrenic people is a lot of them are highly competent people. I mean Charlie Sheen even when he's a mess at home could show up to work and pull it off. This lady that shot her husband was a very smart, competent woman. She was an amazing office administrator and one of the fastest typists I've ever seen. She was nice and used to type our reports for school for us. Sometimes it's the most competent people at work that are the biggest messes at home. I worked with a guy at Hewlett Packard that was that way. I went to his house and found booze bottles all over the place and the kitchen was a mess. They interviewed a guy who played baseball with Charlie Sheen at Santa Monica High School. I guess his name was Carlos Estavez in those days. Charlie Sheen recently reached a new level of bizarre in the relationship department. As 20/20 just revealed, he keeps two live-in girlfriends at home who help raise his twin boys, Bob and Max. Oh, yeah. And he refers to them as "the goddesses."

Not surprisingly, one important person in this little scenario isn't all-too happy about Charlie's living arrangement. She probably isn't thrilled about the public drug sprees. Or the weekends in Vegas with prostitutes, either… That person would be Brooke Mueller.

According to PopEater, the mother of Bob and Max, and Charlie's soon-to-be ex-wife, was able to file a restraining order on Tuesday evening after the Two and a Half Men star allegedly threatened her, saying: "I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom." Wow. Angry, much?

Bob and Max were removed from Sheen's home on Tuesday night.

This is not Charlie's only legal woe at the moment. He is in the midst of a battle with TV-giant CBS and the minds behind Men, who decided to stop the show mid-season after the star's wild antics. Sheen wants his full 1.2 million-per-episode salary. CBS says they are just fine running Two and a Half Men reruns, which are pulling in great ratings.

And let's not forget, the show debacle is on top of the legal troubles with Mueller—who is just one gal in a parade of women to make headlines with Charlie over the years.

I can spot bipolar disorder from a mile away. I've seen plenty of it and even deaths from it. Charlie suffers from it. I don't think anyone ever got him sober and then brought him down to a base level in order to really help him solve the problem. In most cases the problem stems from childhood and is never taken care of and then it goes all to hell usually when the person is in their 30's and 40's. It's more than drugs, drinking, partying, and girls. He's running there to feel good trying to escape something that hasn't been dealt with. Years of it has taken it's toll on him and he's worn out. It takes a lot of energy to keep all the baggage going. I wish the best for him.

If you have ever dealt with a person with bipolar disorder, they act like Charlie. He probably has a form of that. His mind is moving in hyperdrive. A brain scan on Charlie would be interesting to see. I would bet his brain is a lot more active than the average person's brain. He seems to need constant stimulation to keep from getting bored and he's delusional. I bet he goes from being nice to wanting to hide from him in a snap and he probably doesn't even know he's throwing a tirade once his mind snaps that way.

My bipolar cousin snapped and grabbed a marble rolling pin and destroyed a kitchen. Once he snapped everyone ran off in terror as we heard glass breaking and furniture smashing. This is the same cousin that chased us with a large kitchen knife when we were teasing him as a kid and we had to climb a tree to get away from him. Then he started hacking the tree with the knife and threw the knife at us. Now he's on prozac working as a graphic designer. He had to be committed to the state mental hospital and whatever they did with him, he seems to be living a normal life now. He still scares the shit out of me.
