You know for all the people that get up tight about Big Brother and have a fear of CCTV cameras because of personal liberty worries it's a two way street.

Without it this would have gone unpunished.

that's, aaaahhhh, a little over the top. i can imagine being a cop in some parts of the u.s. is like being at war, but that was clearly excessive.
cops in oz regularly undergo courses aimed at updating methodology and appropriate response to situations, it appears this is not the case in houston.

I could understand it more if the perp had done a crime against the cops or even if he was being a drunken pain in the ass.

You would think that when cops caught a burglar after a chase they would be happy and doing high 5s like they scored a touchdown, not angry and kicking his head in. Cops hardly ever catch burglars so it should be cause for celebration.

Maybe the call interrupted lunch...

well we don't know sesh... maybe he did have a history of those type of offences; even at his young age. still not a good look.
they could have waited 'till they got him back to the station. :)

Personally, I don't give a shit if a criminal is beat down. Fuck him, and the whole lot. Maybe next time he'll think twice, but I doubt it.

It's the taxpayer that will have to pay when he sues.

Maybe there are cameras in the station, I know there are here. A lot less people seem to fall down the stairs once you put a camera on them. :)

Everyone I know who was a police officer has quit and has gone into another profession. Why? It's gotten more dangerous and they are tired dealing with the corrupt politics. The decent officers have or will leave the field and you are going to get super cop wannabes filling the void. All the politicians care about is they have some warm bodies on patrol to get traffic ticket income and keep a somewhat reasonable show of law and order.

Don't run.

Even better still, don't commit crimes.

The cop who is doing the majority of the kicking is clearly a mental case and shouldn't be on the streets of Houston or any other city.

Which means he more than likely will be employed somewhere within the confines of South Florida in roughly a year's time.

Detroit might get into a bidding war for them, too.

Being violent isn't enough, though......you must be willing to work for the drug dealers first and The City second. It's really complex and demanding criteria we have here.

Maybe they were so pissed because he robbed a doughnut shop?

That's utter bullshit, and ALL of those asshole cops should be suspended w/o pay pending their eventual (mandatory) DISMISSAL. The dude wasn't even resisting once he fell!

Corruption is corruption, better they be discover now than latter.
God willing, the teen recovers, physically, psychologically, and is compensated equitably for exposing the corrupt officers by chance or naseeb.

Ice T is an idiot and bitch boy'd his way along.
Ohhh, you like that? It's a full moon...
