I've got some xbox games, and I want to back them up/make cd copies...

is this possible?

i beleive its only illegal if you distribute them, the way the copyright exists you can make a legal backup for yourself.

i don't know about Xbox, but i know with a PS2 you have to put in a mod chip to play copied games.

Try the afterdawn forums, lots of help there. You need a DVD burner for most any XBox game though, unless you wanna cut out all the cut scenes and stuff.

It's not illegal, and it can be done. There are a lot of people who do this. As long as you own the game, you are free to make backups of it.

Also, with the xbox, you don't have to mod your xbox to get it to run backups/homebrew. I don't know how to "softmod" (as it is called) but the people at xbox-scene do.
