Found this while researching another topic. This "guitar" probably weighs as much as a refrigerator, and is equally attractive.

Portland luthier David Minnieweather created the Guitar Bass for John Woolley from a design that John had sketched out on paper. Neck-through body, 9 piece flamed maple and purple heart neck. The core body wood is african white wood, with a mouth-watering flamed tasmanian black wood top and back. The bass fretboard is palisander, the guitar fretboard is ebony. The bass scale length is 34 inches, and the guitar scale lenth is 25 1/2 inches. The bass side has 14 frets, and the guitar side has 22 frets.

Interesting.... To play the bass half, you'd have to play it Sarzo style (overhand) . I kinda dig the body shape.
Still ,by far, a better looking instrument than this moron's "creation"... :lmao:

I vaguely recall seeing a Youtube clip of some hopelessly talent-free goober butchering a SRV tune with that very guitar.

Serious shit. As crazy as they are, you can't help but appreciate the craftsmanship and detail someone put into crafting these things. Many many hours of labor. You really have to love woodworking to create like that.
