Anyone here at the Army have the rest of the tunes? WTF I will pay you for them. I did own the album...just lost it on a summer day. The Jump Cover is not my favorite...but the rest of the covers are exquisite. Help.

Everybody Wants Some is one of my favorite cover tune albums of all time, but sadly enough my copy is so beat-up that it won't play in anything, including my computer. And I hear what you are saying, just try to find a simple boom box/radio/CD player in the stores these days.

Well just to add to anyone's archives, found this version (not off that album), but just another tribute in another genre. It is ok.

If you are really into off the wall yet cool covers SunisinuS, I highly recommend you seek out The Moog Cookbook. It's a "band" consisting of two nutcases that play covers on old analog equipment, and the results are not only warped and laugh out loud funny, they are also at times brilliantly inspired. Check out this track from their first album from 1995. It's a cover of Green Day's "Basket Case", done up to sound like a Mike Post NBC theme from the 1980s for Hill Street Blues or St. Elsewhere. Listen carefully for the bits quoting the Captain & Tennille and the Michael McDonald era Doobie Brothers.

Talking about covers and fun stuff!!

There's a new album out from (new band) ROCK SUGAR with (3) members of LOUD & CLEAR !!

They've made a cover-album where all songs were made from 2 (or 3) well-known songs like 'Don't stop the Sandman where METALLICA meets JOURNEY , 'Shook me like a Prayer where

AC/DC meets MADONNA and 'I love Sugar on Me' where JOAN JETT meets and mixed up with DEF LEPPARD,

for more info get to the CD-REVIEWS on www.MelodicRock.com :baaa:

That guy's Steve Perry impersonation is as good or better than the Filipino dude Journey's got now. Definitely better than the first clone or Jeff Sucks Scrotums. Schon will probably try to hire him next.

Even if Madonna herself sang this, it would still be better than that Celine Dion abomination from a few years back.....

Here are some more clips done in this vein, by a guy named AndyRehfeldt (http://www.youtube.com/user/AndyRehfeldt). His work is pretty damned funny, as he uses the original vocals overdubbed onto his own "takes" on tunes. The guy doesn't always hit the mark, but when he does it's nothing short of hilarious, and surprisingly musically insightful. Sort of a St. Sanders, only in reverse.
