Rolling Stones - Place Pigale Volumes 1-6 (yes, all of it goddamn it!)

OK, so as other recent threads have mentioned, the Stones are finally starting to open the doors to their vaults, with the bonus discs added to Exile and now Some Girls, and the long awaited release of The Brussels Affair from 1973. Yet there's still a lot of quality Stones material still unavailable - at least in your local record store or iTunes.

So now that somebody was kind enough to load all 6 volumes of the bootleg compilation "Place Pigalle" on You Tube, I will present them here for your listening enjoyment. Sound quality varies from track to track, but it's all listenable. Some of these songs have later surfaced in one form or another on official albums, but the originals are still interesting to hear, so without further ado.....

Now my question is where's the early stuff with Brian Jones up to the amazing Memo from Turner solo recording (ever notice the vocal track of the Performance version is identical to the Metamorphosis version?) I always missed the instrumentation of the early days, even though they made great records since.

I went through this thing about two years ago where I decided to attempt to get just about every Stones boot that mattered but only go vol 4 8in this set. Although i idk have that "drift away" on another set..??? Maybe some others??? It seems like I have 5 different boots with a lot of these songs.

Most of these songs are indeed on other boots, and some of them even sound better. I just put these up because someone was nice enough to put the full discs on You Tube. If Mick ever decides to release an "expanded" remaster of Goats Head Soup like he did Exile and Some Girls, it's definitely going to include "Drift Away" and "Save Me" (a.k.a. Criss Cross Man)
