Trump to Moderate Newsmax, ION TV GOP Debate

Newsmax Media and ION Television, one of the nation’s largest broadcast networks, will collaborate to host a Republican presidential debate on Tuesday, December 27, moderated by businessman Donald J. Trump.
ION Television Debate will be held at the Hoyt Sherman Theater in Des Moines, Iowa, from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET/PT – and will be the last forum of major Republican presidential candidates a week before the Jan. 3rd, 2012 Iowa caucus.
The Newsmax ION Television Debate will be televised live nationwide on ION Television to 99 million U.S. homes and online by Newsmax.com. It will be the final meeting of the Republican candidates before the Iowa Caucus on January 3, 2012. All of the major Republican presidential candidates have been invited to participate.

“The ION Television/Newsmax 2012 Presidential Debate will offer all the major Republican candidates a forum to reach likely primary voters in all key states,” says Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy.
“There have been numerous debates so far, but we believe that the ION Television/Newsmax 2012 Presidential Debate will provide a unique opportunity for the concerns of likely primary voters to be voiced on a national stage.”
