for this show I'm shooting from the back in section 212 I think. Around same position I shot Louisville. I shot MSG from 9th row center the first night, 14th row right side the second night, and 7th row center the boston show.

Ironically enough, one of the guys looked just like Sting, so he's the last one I expected to get in a fight. Never did find out what the Hell the problem was. I actually saw Tom Araya of Slayer stop a song & do this rant once in San Diego because the mosh pit got TOO crazy dangerous. WTF San Diego? How in the fuck do you make a Slayer mosh pit too crazy for even the band? Serious biz. People were being carried out on stretchers (no joke). I actually think Slayer was banned by the mayor or city council from playing in San Diego county or city limits for several years because they had to play just over the border in Tijuana the next few tours.

2 out of the 3 they've played live.. Would anyone else here lose their minds if they broke out Drop Dead Legs?

I think after enough years of watching Diamond Dave, we can pretty much tell when it's schtick and when it's real. That seemed very unscripted to me - and the video appears to be proof of security escorting people away. Dave may drop the F-bomb from time to time, but that many times in a row indicates he's seriously pissed. One last point: I agree with most everyone else - who the hell fights during 'Pretty Woman'? A Van Halen show is about having a good time, and there isn't a more harmless tune with less adrenaline than PW. I would be fine with it if they dropped it from the set-list forever. I certainly wouldn't start throwing punches when they play. What a couple of douches.

Great show all around - kudos to those who saw this one live!

Anyways, I tried to scrap with him. Not at Slayer....Not at Megadeth...but at the fucking Men At Work concert!

Only time i ever got thrown out of a gig was for fighting , went to see the wildhearts at the newcastle mayfair , classic mistake of meeting up with two different sets of friends and two people just mixed like dogs in the traffic and i spent all night keeping them away from each other totally spoiling my night , the band come on i turn away to watch sure enough i go flying as the two of them are throwing punches like girls trying to grab/wrestle each other .. so i was so pissed off i tried to seperate them ... and security thru the 3 of us out on our arses.. i was gutted .. but at least one of the lads offered to pay for my ticket a couple of weeks later when i had calmed down .

The most brutal fight I have ever witnessed at a concert was at a Jimmy Buffett show a couple years back in Chicago. Naturally, the idiot doing the talking (and who ultimately took a beating and ended up running as security came to the rescue - only to hide out in the shitter and get dragged out by the cops) was sitting right next to me. There was blood, there was pulled out hair, there was beer sloshing around everywhere.

If there is ever a show where throw-down, brawling fist-fights are completely, absurdly unnecessary - it's Jimmy Buffett. Some assholes simply can't hold their liquor. These are usually the pricks who go into a venue looking for an excuse to flex their biceps - the actual show is secondary.

Awesome show! Amazing moment to share with my 13 year old son. He got to witness a classic Diamond Dave Van Halen moment. The look on his face as we high fived was priceless.

Although a concert is more fun with people who also love the band....I ultimately go for the show & NOT the company. So if no one here has ever seen a show solo, I recommend trying it. Very enjoyable.

I made enough back before dvd burners broke to best buy. The whole thing has changed and so have I. I enjoy it now more than anything and I film every show I go to. Shooting video is a pain in the ass - almost not enjoyable at times - but authoring and sharing is a huge turn on - ESPECIALLY making multicam shows!! I went to 5 shows.....Im authoring 5 multicams!! and I'm SHARING 5 multicam shows....PLUS....the raw footage of my single view - which I feel in some cases the footage is amazing.

I made enough back before dvd burners broke to best buy. The whole thing has changed and so have I. I enjoy it now more than anything and I film every show I go to.
