I hate the song. Dave's cheesiest next to "Stand Up."

God, if only "Hina" or "Knucklebones" had been released, justice would have been served. Those are 2 criminally overlooked songs.

I like this song. I reckon its a got a great feelgood vibe about it..
And I normally prefer the heavier stuff. Im surprised that I like
it, but I do. Makes me feel happy when I hear it..

Definite feelgood material, like Panamark said. Kinda light, but still a good song.

And yeah, the vid was shot in Yosemite. I'm pretty sure the big rock he's on is El Capitan. (Was hiking round there a couple of years back, and kept looking at that motherfucking huge chunk of stone and thinking I'd seen it somewhere before...) ;)

IMO Just Like Paradise is like Jump Pt. 2. Same sound/guitar/keyboard/vibe...

I think the Stage parts of Just Like Paradise vid were shot pre-tour, but on the actual stage used on the tour. That vid shows a nice cross section of what you got on that tour's live show: The boxing ring, the flying surfboard, kicks, jumps, his martial arts staff thing. Great video.

As far as the song itself. I like it. Not the worst on Skyscraper, not the best.

Except Jump was innovative, and Just like Paradise was terrible. They wanted to use that for the 90210 show. Did u cock rocks know that?

Yes us "cock rocks" knew that. Did you know that it was the most requested song for two years in most metropolitan areas? ;) Keep on your toes if you care to talk Dave with us.
Did you also know that Dave didn't write any of JLP?

No, I didn't know that. Who did write it?

I love everything on EAS and Skyscraper. I get the same feeling when I hear those that I do when I hear any of the six pack. I get that stupid smile on my face and start hitting the repeat button.

Hmmm i believe Brett Tuggle (keyboardist) is credited for the music and Dave is credited for the lyrics.

Great song, definitely one of my favorites on the album.

Dave was intentionally going in a different direction. I remember hearing him in interviews at the time talking about making records that appeal to more people than rock fans. Artists like Madonna and other pop artists like that.

Y'all know Diamond Dave was standin' next to that mountain, choppin' it down with the edge of his hand...

I thought they were his lyrics. Thanks for restoring that faith. I kinda like the song myself.
