So, the hard drive on the laptop is gone. Thankfully it's still under warranty. However, 3 of my classes are online, I have 3 term papers due this month, and I just started a new job...working from home... I am so fucking royally screwed!!!!!

In all seriousness, it's pretty cool. Transcribing interviews for a true crime show. If anything, I'm learning how to commit murder and NOT get away with it.

My buddy in high school his dad was a detective. He said to get away with a crime 1st you have to think of 100 ways they could catch you and figure how to get away with those 100 things. If you can do that you were pretty much in the clear. If you can only think up 99 ways....guess what? LOL...yep. The 1 you missed will be your demise.

If you want to murder join the military and go to war. If you kill as a civilian you go to jail or even get the death penalty. If you kill in war you get decorations and medals.

One of my fave scenes from the series Perry Masonite:
Woman on the witness stand. Perry has been verbally beating the living shit out of her, until he corners her so tight she gives up and confesses.
Then she breaks down sobbing, saying "Oh, it was so hard...." (read the rest before you post your dirty comments. Yeah, I know how you guys think. :lol: )
Perry Masonary then says "NO MISS JOHNSON! MURDER IS EASY! GETTING AWAY WITH IT IS THE HARD PART!"
Over the past few years I have gotten hooked on reality crime murder redrum death kill shows. 48 Hours. Power & Priviledge. Murder By The Book.
Non-fiction documentaries.
The one thing I love about these shows, is that 99% of the time, they catch the perp, and send him to the slammer. And what REALLY makes me jump out of my chair and yell "FUCK YEAH!"
is when the scumbag gets sentence to DIE!
The true answer....do not do it to begin with. Certainly in the show "Power & Priviliedge", it is all redrum committed by rich motherfuckers.
People you would think are smart enough NOT to do something like that. But they somehow think they can get away with it.
Only to find out they are going to be ass-raped by Hairy Bubba in the cell for the next 50 years.
They should rename all of these redrum deth kill reality shows as "THE ADVENTURES OF STUPID PEEPUL!".
It is sort of like bank robbers. They have to be stupid. I mean, if you are a law-abiding citizen who knows or is related to a law-enforcement officer or FBI guy (I know quite a few), that is one thing.
But when you rob a bank, the FBI is suddenly REALLY interested in being your new best friend.
And anyone who wants to be friends with the FBI in such a way is a goddamnable stupid fuck! :lmao:
Well, anyway, Angel, Sorry to hear that your drive killed itself. And congrats on the job. It sounds kickass. I would love to have a job like that. Hell, I would love to have a job right now.

Well, Hardrock. I won't have this job much longer. The government just killed the industry in this province. There's about to be a lot of people looking for work in this province, and a lot taking their tax money elsewhere

Actually we are just more honest now about reality.
For example now we call a spade a spade...more critical of the UN and the joke it has become...when you don't play the game it pisses people off.

BS. I've spoken with various delegates from numerous nations at the University, specifically from Palestine...there's not nearly as much respect for Canada as there used to be...
We've moved backwards in our relationship with our First Nations as well.

As far as First Nations the big gap is accountability...and there needs to be some.
We should be helping not enabling.

These were Canadians who live in Palestine. Israel borrowed OUR reserve system for their own theft of land. Actually, they borrowed it from South Africa, whose pass system came directly from our reserve pass system.
Yeah, we need accountability all right...as in why the fuck we enacted the Indian Act AFTER treaties had been signed, and why we lied, cheated, stole...oh yeah, let's not forget the cultural genocide of the res schools.
We don't need to "help" First Nations, we just need to live up to the negotiated treaties, and abolish the racist legislation.
The tribes in BC that have won their land claim battles and achieved self-governance are doing very well.
Talk about not liking honesty, how about our education system that doesn't tell Canada's true history? Take an Indigenous Studies 100 class if you want to know what really happened when this country was colonized...

Our education has been dishonest for a very long time....I grew up believing Sask fed the world...cause my text book told me so.
