just got an email from the venue

To our valued customer,

As you may be aware, the Van Halen concert scheduled for July 21st has been postponed. At this time, we do not have information on a new date being scheduled.

In accordance with our policy, refunds were issued on Friday, June 8 for all tickets that were purchased with a credit card. Tickets that were not paid for with a credit card should be returned to the John Labatt Centre Box Office at Gate 1 for a refund. For Box Office hours, please click here.

Tickets for the July 21st concert will not be valid if the band is able to reschedule the date. New tickets must be purchased.

wonder if the Cavs/Q will be refunding soon.

now i have an unused souvenir ticket that is probably worth a dollar on eBay!

The difficult thing in this day in age following bands of a certain age is getting the balance between booking flights and hotels early to save money and booking late because of the chance of gig cancellations.

Well, I have a 35% tax on foreign money expenditure, plus I donīt care about saving money with early booking on flights and hotels, but I do care about gig cancellations.

The trick is maybe to go to a place where if the gig is cancelled you would still like to visit anyway.

Why a trick? In that case, it will not work with me, but I did enjoy my visits, really.
