Nope. 750 miles away.

But as Doo-Dah is my former home (for most of my life), I have a lot of friends back there who are going to be thrilled to death....Van Halen played in Wichita on all tours save one....I think it was WACF where instead they played some kind of rock festival in Great Bend, Kansas (little podunk town).

Saw them with Dave 3 times there + the infamous 1978 show in Seattle.

'80 Invasion was in Salina at the Bicentenial Center.

It's actually the first time Van HALEN has played Wichita since June 17, 1984. I took these two pics, and many others, at that show.

Yeah Von halen......that was the deal. Salina in 1980. Same place I saw Judas Priest 3 years later. So I saw them on Fair Warning and Hide Your Sheep tours. 1984 tour I was on the road from May to December, so did not see them on that tour.

I also think the press conference is cool. Wichita has always been a Van Halen town. And the Intrust Arena is BRAND NEW. They just had their first concert there last fall.....18,000 capacity...the old Kansas Coliseum just north of Wichita was only 12,000.

That town is gonna rock like a muffukker that night!
