They have been arguing these same abortion, gun control, and nuclear waste arguments as long as I was old enough to remember. I remember writing a paper on nuclear waste in 4th grade because there were huge arguments on what to do with it. They still haven't figured out the problem even after the government built a huge facility to store it underground in Nevada.

It's all pretty stupid if you think about it. We have just been chasing our tail for half a century going nowhere.

I just think the government needs to get out of most things. Marriage all together. Why do we need the government to test our blood, charge us fees, and license/approve who we decide to share a holy union with? Same with birth control. Same with damn everything guys. I'm sick of it. The government does 1 thing well......blowing up other governments. The war machine. But as for us citizens (who are supposed to comprise the government) they need to just start leaving us the fuck alone when it comes to normal life decisions. Why do I need the government telling me when I am allowed to walk to the edge of the sea and catch a fish to eat...what type of fish I can catch...what size...charge me for the proper licensing....and tell me what type of instruments I can use to catch said fish. It's the fucking sea for petes sake. It's free to any man wanting to eat a fish.

Thomas Jefferson once said a government big enough to give you everything is big enough to take it away. The problem is people get snookered into believing the government is going to provide everything for them and they paint this big utopian picture and it all sounds so good. The problem is there is a ruling class in Washington DC and the attitude is in both parties and they believe they are a law unto themselves and they can get away doing whatever they want. Hey. Look how dumb the public is and look at it from their side. You would start to think you were untouchable and they don't care about the country. Most the big corporations that buy them off are multinational. So the corruptions are international and bigger than any one country.

All I know is the US coming out of the cold war the victor had no intention of winding down the war machine. They wanted to keep it going and they needed an excuse. Human life doesn't seem to mean much to the corrupt crowd running Washington these days. That's what I find scary. Also, China, Russia, and other countries are packing together economically and modernizing their war machines. Only 2% of our electronic chips are made in the US. That means a lot of our military hardware and computers have asian chips with backdoors in them. Take the GPS system out and you cripple the US military. Hack their computer systems and you can cripple them. Honestly. Apparently they just had the plans for the new fighters stolen. Why in the hell are those computers even on the grid? If you want that system secure you take it off the world wide grid.

I mean we are ran by some incompetent leadership that are just draining this country so a few of them and their friends can make big money and they are pushing us closer to another world war scenero in the process. China and Russia are saying enough is enough and they are starting to make the point in Syria. Asia is winning the economic war and I'm not so sure we would fare that well against them in a shoot em out war. I don't see that there is any reason to do that. Look at the world. It's the US and Europe that are running around the world invading other coutnries. Since the US has the biggest military it gets the biggest work load but clearly it's doing the bidding of the Euro/American multinational corporations. Corporate thugs and they have control of our military basically. It's no longer serving the people.

You are right the government is extremely talented at killing people and breaking shit. That is what they are really good at.

(CNN) - Two state representatives in Michigan were barred from speaking on the floor of the legislature in Lansing Thursday after colleagues deemed their language "failed to maintain the decorum" of the legislative body.

State Reps. State Reps. Lisa Brown and Barb Byrum, both Democrats, were arguing against proposed legislation that would enact new restrictions on abortions in Michigan, including provisions for new insurance requirements for abortion providers.

Brown ended her floor speech by declaring: ""I'm flattered that you are all so interested in my vagina, but no means no."

Byrum chimed in, announcing the word "vasectomy" after Brown's speech, an apparent reference to proposed Democratic legislation that would counter the new abortion rules by placing similar restrictions on vasectomies.

A spokesman for the Republican Speaker of the House told the Detroit Free Press the two women would not be allowed to speak on the floor after their remarks.

They "will not be recognized to speak on the House floor today after being gaveled down for their comments and actions yesterday that failed to maintain the decorum of the House of Representatives," the spokesman said.

He continued, "House Republicans often go beyond simply allowing debate by welcoming open and passionate discussion of the issues before this chamber. The only way we can continue doing so, however, is to ensure that the proper level of maturity and civility are maintained on the House floor."

In a web video, the Democratic leaders of Michigan's State Senate said the restrictions amounted to a "war on women."

"This is very real, and it comes at the highest levels of state government," State Sen. Gretchen Whitmer said. "Right now we are seeing our Republican colleagues in the House working to take away our rights to choose, our rights to health care, our rights to make decisions about our bodies. And just today, they're taking away our female colleagues rights in the House, they're right to speak on the floor."
