Even assuming they're all going to be "on the highways" let's hope Jesus makes sure all their cars get front-end alignments before 3/13

That won't help around here. We don't have flat roads, they are all crowned for drainage. The carnage will be colossal and yet awesome to behold.

I just want to know if Jesus is gonna pay to fill up my car. I can handle the driving part - I just need some divine intervention with the goddamn gas prices!

If you fill your tank with water, maybe He can turn it into gas?

Meh, with L.A. traffic, it'd just be hundreds of bumper-tap collisions at 25 mph max...

It used to take me almost an hour to get home from work when I lived in San Diego. 12 miles from door to door. At least California had Happy Hour back when I lived there...a couple of beers or scotch and waters at the local Chilis in Miramar and traffic cleared up nicely

I think this event is proof that Jesus believes in Darwins selection.

Well, I can personally testify to a time when Jesus actually DID take the wheel......

Back in the early 1990s me and the chick I was with at the time went off to Portland for the weekend, dropped some acid and got absolutely no sleep. By the time we drove home, I was completely sober, but very tired. I remember driving as far north as Longview, and next thing I know, I'm in Centralia. There's about an hour of driving in between there that I cannot explain. I don't know who was driving, but it wasn't me, and it wasn't her.

Jesus....aliens....my piece of shit Dodge Aries magically transformed into KITT and drove itself.... pick any explanation you want, but it happened.

Now having said that, there's no way in Hell I would have ever tried that on purpose....

Yeah, like he wants to thin the herd of all his followers who'd be stupid enough to do something like that...

Greeings, My children....

I was on a fishing trip with My Apostles this week, so I didn't see this thread until now (had to cut the vacation short due to that horrible incident in Colorado, unfortunately)

Anyway, thought I would just drop by and address this rumor before the Sabbath...

Yes, technically I "can" take the wheel, and have, on occasion (FORD, thou art welcome, and I know that ye hath learned thy lesson regarding certain recreational chemicals). But look, I'm just one God. Taking the wheel of 1000 cars at the same time, well that's a stretch even for Me.

And you all shouldn't really be doing things like that on purpose anyway. Did ye forget that scripture that says "Don't tempt the Lord"??

My peace be with you......

JC

Hey Lord. Hope the fishing was good. Hey, what about Ford's suggestion that you might turn water into gas? I'm more interested in the water-into-wine thing...but some free gas would be good too!

Why you say that? You are going to wake up bright and early and go out driving your hoopty at 90 mph with no hands! :hee:

Good to see that someone at least tried to close one of the 1000s of obvious loopholes in the superstition back in the day.

I have to say that as a father who loves his children if one of them took their hands off the wheel and I was a god I would be right in there and keep them safe. Obviously.

Then again I like most humans am a far better person than the god described in the bible.
