Disclosure forms reveal that Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a member of Congress from Florida, previously held funds with investments in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, and the state bank of India. This revelation comes mere days after the Democratic chair attacked presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for holding money in Swiss bank accounts in the past.

The essential issue is Romney's control of Bain and the results of it, especially after he supposedly stepped down while being listed as CEO...

People like you are always the same. Romney won't release more than 2 yrs. of taxes, look quick, he's hiding something. Rich people don't pay enough taxes, they should carry more of the load than they already do, blah blah. The fact is, Romney could release 5/10 yrs worth of taxes and you fuckers wouldn't be happy. Right now, the top 1 percent pays 39 percent in taxes and you guys want more. I say, what's enough. Is making them pay 60 or 70 or even 80 percent in taxes is what you guys want. Oh, wait, you guys want them to pay all of the taxes and everyone else just live off of them with government handouts.

And if you believe that, wanna buy a bridge in Brooklyn I'm trying to get rid of?
What Romney may be hiding is that he's actually a Billionaire, and that he paid less than 15%, possibly NO TAXES AT ALL for a few years. He also went on record as saying he doesn't want to release them to "give the Obama campaign ammo" - which if he wasn't hiding anything there would BE no "ammo" for them to use. Pretty much an admission of guilt on his part. But keep on defending him...

Hey like someone said. I don't give a rats ass What Romney has done with his own money. He could find loopholes to pay less taxes and put his money into foreign investments. What i really care about is what and where Obama spent the American taxpayers money. You know yours and mine. All the stimulus money that went to foreign companies and not to American ones that would actually put people to work. How about that little glimpse of the real Obama with telling business owners they didn't build that, the government built the roads and bridges you get your supplies with. I have news for that dumbass. Everything that was built in this country, all the infrastructure, was paid for by American taxes and not the government. Do you actually think they make money. All they do is take money. Keep fighting for a idiot like that and this country will look like Syria or Iraq not too far in the distant future.

"Americans need to ask themselves, why does an American businessman need a Swiss bank account and secretive investments like that?" the DNC chair, a chief surrogate for President Obama's reelection team, said on Fox News Sunday. "Just something, a thought, that I'd like to leave folks with."

“If it were up to the candidates for president on the Republican side, we would be driving foreign cars; they would have let the auto industry in America go down the tubes,”

Good sense would be moving your money to a credit union, or if you live in North Dakota, to the state bank there.

Stashing your money in foreign banks to avoid taxes isn't good sense. It's economic treason.

A small amount of olive oil is not bad, but never overheat it, which causes oxidation and the formation of free radicals that causes oxidative damage to cells which forms cancers...

But I was a nurse for 22 years and I've been studying nutrition and putting it to practice for longer than that...

:elvis:

Well, actually no.....

My grandfather had eggs for breakfast every other day of his life, and he lived to be 91. Of course he had oatmeal on the alternating days, so that probably counteracted the cholesterol from the eggs. He was doing this for decades before there was any media attention to the fact that oat fiber counteracts cholesterol, so I don't think he (or my grandmother) really gave it much thought. He just liked eggs, and he liked oatmeal, so he had one or the other for breakfast.

I personally don't eat eggs very often, but it's a purely psychological thing. Had my tonsils out when I was 5, and there's not a lot of actual food you can eat in that condition. Ice cream and jello ain't all that nutritious, so my mom fed me soft-boiled eggs. Haven't been able to stand eggs for the most part since. Though I will eat an occasional omelet, provided there's enough stuff in it and it doesn't really taste like eggs.

Well, the other grandfather had some chronic health problems all his life, including finally Parkinson's disease, so if his dementia wasn't Alzheimers related, it was probably caused by pharmaceuticals. I don't recall him being very cautious about his diet either. Combine that with the fact that he was a heavy smoker, and that he actually had a quintuple bypass in his 60s, and it's probably nothing short of a miracle that he actually made it to 84.

I suspect genetics were on his side, despite everything else. My great grandmother (his mom) lived to 101, and one of her brothers made it to 97.

Great Uncle Joe was (the 97 year old). He was probably 6'2" or 6"3, which was probably pretty rare for his generation. Oddly enough my great grandmother was probably about 5' 3", so that's a pretty big range just within that side of the gene pool. None of my grandparents were over 6" though.

And the reason may be that he ate lots of eggs, meat, dairy products and veggies and didn't eat all of the bullshit low fat, whole wheat diets of today...

:elvis:

Well, it was organic vegetables and "free range" meat for one thing. Same with the eggs... from the home grown chickens.

Not the oatmeal though. He didn't grow oats. But they were cheap enough that he didn't mind buying them.

As for the whole wheat part, I'm sure my grandma baked bread often, at least when she was younger. And even if they bought bread, it seems like it was always the healthy kind. Don't remember ever seeing a loaf of Wonder bread in their house. Not even for the grandkids.

The free range meat and eggs are important...

But it sounds like he had a fairly organic diet...

It's disgusting what today's young people eat...

Obesity, diabetes, autism...

I blame the diet, not the vaccines...

Too much sugar, too much salt, way too big portions, not enough fruit and vegitables, and not drinking enough water.

Most people in this country eat a diet full of fat and carbohydrates and huge portions of it.

No it isn't.

Good sense would be moving your money to a credit union, or if you live in North Dakota, to the state bank there.

Stashing your money in foreign banks to avoid taxes isn't good sense. It's economic treason.

Taxing interest on investments is stupid. It's one reason to avoid investing in this country.

Unprocessed coconut oil is good to fry things in. You are right about burning olive oil. It can't take the heat. Butter is fine in moderation. It's a lot better than margerine or burnt olive oil.

I don't fry anything at all...

I cook eggs meat and vegetables in very small amounts of butter, very slowly at very low heat...

You live in the south and don't fry anything? No battered catfish, fried chicken, or hushpuppies?

Well, let me tell you about MY grandfather :D He also lived untill 97 and his diet was: green vegetables, a lot of spinach, olives, only type of fat was olive oil, fish (cooked, not fried or grilled), almonds, soups, sometimes cheese when they had it, tomatoes. So pretty much mediterranian diet. Not only did he live, but he worked in the fields and was healthy whole his life.

My other grandfather died at 70, and his diet was meat, cheese, well you get the point...

The American life expectancy is going down, and I believe it's due to diet and pharmaceuticals...

There is one place in America where life lenght is one of top 5 highest in the world. Thats some place in California i think, where the whole community are Seventh-day Adventists

The Mormons in Utah used to live a long time until they got fat and lazy eating the same junk food everyone else in the country eats. Oh well, the country is getting too crowded anyways, if you want to eat yourself to death go ahead.

Not just diet, complete mineral supplementation...

My hair grows faster and it's not nearly as gray as it was a year ago...

What's amazing is the arthritis in my left hand was so bad I was considering actually going to a doctor and it's gone now...
