Papantonio pretty much summed it up with the "This speaks of the character of the man that wants to be POTUS" bit.

All I can say is it's wierd to see someone you actually have sat in meetings with run for the presidency. Usually that world is so far removed from where you are. During the olympics Mitt was the big hero that came in and fixed a hell of a mess. It's interesting watching people trying to paint him as this dark menacing character. Even going after his wife who actually is a real nice lady.

Politics is really about one extreme or another. The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle.

That's why your average Joe doesn't run anymore. Well, that and all the capital it takes to make a run at a national office. Pretty sad.

Politics is really about one extreme or another.

Not really, considering the two major parties in the US at the moment are corporatist right wing ("Democrats") and batshit crazy extremist KKKoch brothers funded lunatic teabagging "Republicans".

There hasn't been any Liberal with any real political power in well over 30 years, and there has NEVER been an extreme "Left" in charge of anything. Which is unfortunate, because about 40 years of exactly that is needed to undo the damage of the last 30.

Maybe then you could have a reasonable discussion about "balance" and "moderation"?
