SHOES!!! - shoe-talk

Like many other women, I LOVE shoes. I've always loved them, but I have also worked in several shoe-shops for 5 years. I have a LOT of shoes :-)

Your thoughts? Your favorites? Wich ones would you like to have? Most comfertable?

When it comes to comfort the brand I really love is Adidas. For years nothing could compete with Adidas comfort. I started working with Ecco shoes, and found out that they are also VERY comfortable. Now I love both.

And if we're gonna talk about pretty shoes, I love high heels. I perfer a relativly thin heel, I don't like thick heels. I also HATE wedges. Although I have a couple of shoes with wedges, same model, different colour. But those are exception.

This week I got the ugliest shoes ever, but they are the most comfortable I've ever tried. I have never tried such perfect shoes. They are called Jump, from Ecco. I don't know if I should post a pic, since they aren't pretty.

I am really picky with both socks and underwear, so I always make sure I have a LOT of socks, just cause I'm always in a hurry, I wanna have a lot so I don't have to look for them or think werher I did the laundry. I only like one special kind of socks, they have to be thin. I always buy like 30 pair, and one month later I have like 5 pair. Wtf is happening to my socks...
I have so many nice sandals, that I didn't get to use once this summer, we had rain every day.

When it comes to winter shoes I have a LOT! Last few years I have been getting them from Ecco. If you want GREAT winter shoes, that are warm (too warm for me), have a lot of support, foil-layer in the insole to isolate the cold, water repellent and not slippery and look fantastic, check out Ecco Siberia. Best shoes ever!

It was nice combining job and a hobby. Especially with ecco, cause there is so much knowledge behind the shoes, that you need to know. Customers ask EVERY question there is. It's fun to know each fact in the process of making one specific shoe. I had a woman that I worked with, she knew EVERYTHING!! She had worked there for years and she literally knew everything. She did stuff, let's say we got an old model again, and she'd notice that one seam has been moved, she'd call up the head office and ask why they moved it. It was so giving to work with her.

Thank you, usually I welcome corrections, but you must understand when it is coming from you it just seems like one more way to put me down.
But truth to be told, in 70% of cases I know the right spelling or I know that it's wrong and I just assume that people will understand what I'm trying to say, but as this is just a forum I don't bother, cause it would take far too long time. I KNOW that there was an apostrophe in front of "cause" as it is short for "because" but I NEVER bother. Apostrophe is probably wrong spelling, but I am tired and as long as people get what I'm trying to say I'm happy.

Oh :-( I heard those can be painful. Is it hallux valgus? In that case it's important that you have a lot of support in the arch, cause that way you change the angle of you toes.

My feet are actually okey. My biggest fear are heel spurs. Didn't even know it existed until my customers told me about it. It seems like hell. In all my shoes, even converse on the picture I make sure to have a lot of support. First I put in a heel pad. Then I put an insole over it and finally an arch support pad over that.

There are just certain things that should and should not be done when it comes to personal grooming.

1. If you are going to wear open-toed shoes, kindly sand back your toenails so they don’t protrude past the front rim of your flip-flops, pumps or Birkenstocks. Nobody wants to see your Gail-Devers-ass toenail daggers or see the sparks that fly backward every time you drag one of your Neanderthalic, two-inch-thick paws across the concrete when you walk (even if they’re painted Sassy Ass pink and decorated with little white flowers --- which, by the way, makes your feet look like a piece of wallpaper from the China Palace bathroom).

2. Perfume is nice when it’s a squirt or two on your neck, but those of you who douse yourselves with so much potpourri-scented pisswater that you make yourselves smell like the linen closet of an octogenarian are doing serious damage to both the ozone layer and the septums of the men you try to seduce. Christ, some of you smell like my parents’ Maltese does when it comes back from the dog groomers.

3. What’s the deal with mascara that leaves big old globules of black soot on your lashes? Some of you look like you have aphids crawling up your face. Do you have any idea how distracting it is to ask a female coworker about when she might have the TPS reports done only to see her stop mid-sentence in her reply to fish a piece of hardened mascara the size of a peach pit out of her left eye?

4. This just in: we can see the cavernous crevices under your caked-up on makeup. 5. If you want to wear a g-string, fine. If you want to let it peak out from the waistline of your pants, have at it. I've noticed a lot of women in this city with french manicured toes, I agree...looks ridiculous.

I don't paint my nails at all anymore. I don't have the time to re-do them every few days and chipped polish looks gross.

Clean them every day, file when necessary they look great natural. Toenails trimmed at least once a week. I don't understand how people can let toenails get out of hand. I remember being out camping and lost my clippers. The 2nd week I kept stubbing my toes, and I swear it's because I couldn't trim them!
